Resolving Issues When iPhone Contacts Are Not Syncing with Outlook ContactsSupport
As with any technology, issues often arise that make it difficult to use your devices. One of the most common frustrations people encounter is when iPhone contacts are not syncing with Outlook.
Syncing with iCloud is not always reliable; sometimes contacts (calendar events, or other content) doesn’t sync due to tech issues with iCloud PC software. Similarly, Apple’s cloud services recently had a meltdown during which time many services were unavailable, including the iTunes Store and iCloud Drive.
AkrutoSync is the only software to directly sync Outlook Calendar with iPhone without going through iTunes or iCloud. A key consideration when choosing synchronization software is whether it can synchronize with your iOS’s apps. Because AkrutoSync uses the iPhone’s own calendar, contacts, tasks and notes apps, users can continue using them without having to learn new applications. Here, we show you how to easily enable your iPhone to sync with Microsoft Outlook contacts, without storing your private data in the Cloud.
How to sync iPhone and Outlook contacts in 5 easy steps
Step 1: Download iPhone to Outlook syncing software
You will first need to download and install AkrutoSync. If you want your iPhone to sync contacts via Wi-Fi, make sure your smartphone and PC are connected to the same Wi-Fi hotspot.
Step 2: Configure your PC
In the main window of the program press Configure AkrutoSync and select the type of connection you want to use (Wi-Fi or the Internet). Choose iOS as your operating system on the next step. Then, choose the type of data you want to sync between iPhone and Outlook (in this case we only need contacts). Go through few more steps until you are asked to install SSL certificate on your iPhone.
Step 3: Configure your iPhone
Start Safari on your iPhone and install SSL certificate on your smartphone to ensure only this device can access your Outlook contacts. All the steps you need to take will be shown in the AkrutoSync interface.
Step 4: Finish PC configuration
In this step you only need to create a login and password to secure your connection.
Step 5: Finish iPhone configuration
Go to Settings of your iPhone and tap on Mail, Contacts, Calendars. Tap Add Account and choose Exchange. Fill in Email and Password. You can find this data in AkrutoSync interface. Then tap Next and enable everything including mail. Tap Save.
