Hi Maurice,

Could you please answer via email and send it to support@akruto.com

Thank you for the information. Before we proceed, we need to verify the following:
1. Your sync setup, is it (1) Sync over home network/Wi-Fi or (2) Sync over the Internet?

2. The latest screenshot of AkrutoSync’s current screen from your computer

3. What is the make and model of your phone? If it is an Android, what is the Android version (Settings > About phone/device > Android version)? If it is a Windows phone, what Windows version? If it is an iPhone or an iPad, what is the iOS version (Settings > General > About > Version)?

4. Are you using Outlook 2002/2003/2007/2010/2013/2016/Office 365 with Outlook 2013/2016 on a Windows XP/Vista/7/8/8.1/10 computer? Is it a desktop or a laptop? Wired directly to the router or connected via Wi-Fi?

If you are not familiar with ‘how to take a screenshot and attaching it to the email’, please use this guide:
1. Press the “Print Screen” key on your keyboard (also labeled as “Prt Sc” or “PrtScn”). This will capture an image of your entire screen.
Or you can Click on the AkrutoSync window then hold down the Alt button and press Prt Sc. This will take a picture of the “active” window on your screen. An image of the window will be copied to the clipboard. You will not receive any confirmation that the screenshot has been taken.

2. Paste the screenshot. Once you have made the screenshot, you will need to paste it to an editor. Open Paint from the Accessories section in your Start menu or search Paint in Windows Search. With a new blank canvas open in Paint, press the Ctrl and V buttons together to paste the image onto the canvas. You can also right-click on the canvas and select Paste.

3. Save the screenshot. Click File, then Save to set the name and file type of the image. You can select the JPG or PNG file type. Select and remember the save location, then click Save.

4. Attach the screenshot that you saved as a reply to this email.

Alternatively, you can refer to the guide for taking a screenshot here: http://www.wikihow.com/Take-a-Screenshot-in-Microsoft-Windows

For AkrutoSync version 5.2:
The new version allows the program to be minimized into the Taskbar Notification Area (near the system clock).

Also added a capability to take screenshots right from AkrutoSync to make support’s life easier. To take a screenshot, the small icon in the top left corner of the AkrutoSync window (or press Alt+Space). A menu will open; select “Take screenshot”. You will be offered to select a file name and location for the screenshot file. The default location for the screenshot file is on the desktop and the default file name is AkrutoSync Screenshot.png.

We will wait for your response.

Same here. It used to work so well, now it’s useless. I have tried everything I can think of to fix it.

Akruto worked great till about a week ago, but now after start-up it stops with a warning icon. When I open the Akruto window it states: Unable to find old Contacts and Calendar folders. Which are the only folders I synchronize, by the way. Below that message it says: Click here to fix. When I do that it finds the Outlook profile and the necessary folders within a few seconds. I then click Save, and Akruto appears to work normally, even synchronizing a few items, but then stops within a few minutes with the same warning as mentioned above.

I sync over a home network with an iPhone 6 IOS 10.2.1, from a Windows 10 desktop running Outlook 2016, wired to the router.

Kind regards, Benno

Same problem here.
I’m using Akruto v5.2.18 (32-bit) to sync to Outlook 2007 over the internet. It used to work flawlessly on the previous version; now I too get the “Unable to find old Contact and Calendar folders” message.
I use Akruto to sync those two folders, plus Notes and (sometimes) Tasks.

For a while, clicking on “Click here to fix” did seem to fix the problem, but right now it just fails again immediately. Re-configuring from scratch doesn’t help.

Help!

In my case AkrutoSync 5.2.20 doesn’t even start on Window 10. I made a “deep” uninstall with Revouninstaller, reinstalled it and worked for a couple of days, now it’s dead.

Like someone else wrote and I modified: Akruto worked great till about a week ago, but now after start-up it stops with a warning icon. When I open the Akruto window it states: Unable to find old Calendar folders. I do n0ot have an “Old Calendar” file. Below that message it says: Click here to fix. When I do that it finds my profile and the necessary folder. I then click Save, and Akruto appears to work normally, but i keep getting the same message . In addition the calendar is off a day, it is APril 10th and it says now it is the 9th on Acruto.

I sync over a home network with a BlackBerry PRIV

I’m dead in the water as well, since 04/08/2017. All of the sudden my sync stopped and I have been unable to get it working since 04/08/2017 (nothing changed on my system on Saturday) but my ipad and iphone cannot verify my Exchange service (Two DNS) either. I’ve triple checked the credentials and they are correct but still not sync.

This is occurring to me too. Outlook 2010 on Windows 10 64-bit. Akruto started consistently throwing errors saying unable to find Calendar folder. When it searches for it, it finds it fine, then goes away happily for a few minutes, then throws it again.

Interestingly, I had another temporary issue with Akruto before this started – it kept telling me I wasn’t licensed and I had to re-activate every day or so. That problem went away and the Calendar problem popped up. Coincidence? Probably. But surprising, because until now Akruto has been rock solid.

The only things that have more-or-less recently changed are the following:
– Microsoft has been pushing a lot of incremental updates lately, I assume to prepare Win10 systems for the Creators Update as much as possible. However, no updates appear relevant to Office 2010 or Outlook 2010.
– At some point Akruto itself updated to 5.2.18.

HTH.

After my February post on this issue Acruto worked fine for a couple of months, but a couple of days ago the exact same problem as mentioned in that post came back, I guess after the 5.2.18 update. My configuration is still the same as mentioned above. It is a real bummer: Acruto worked great, and now it is worse than useless, because I get stuck with the wrong information on my different devices (iPad, iPhone and desktop).
Also some weird changes in times of recurring calendar events occur, which did not happen the previous time. Any suggestions as to how to solve all of this would be highly appreciated!

Same issue here – I just started a new thread, before realising this one was about the identical error message.

In addition to my previous post: I just closed down Acruto completely and restarted it. It started up normally and I initiated a sync from the iPhone, which also went fine. Right now Acruto is working apparently normal for about five minutes. Have not seen that happen the last couple of days. Maybe some update in Office or Acruto messed with the retained settings and the restart solved that. I will wait 24 hours and then report again.

Akruto was working fine, even this morning (it last updated successfully at 9.47 or something) and though I have seen that “unable to find old calendars and contacts” error message previously, I have been able to “fix it” by following onscreen prompts (though clearly, it hadn’t been fixed). I am running version 5.2.18 too.

Thanks Benno, for updating progress. I’m using Android, btw, on a Galaxy S7 Edge. Don’t know if that makes any difference.

I received an email from Akruto with the following suggestion, which worked perfectly for me.

1. Please close Outlook and AkrutoSync.
2. Start Outlook first, and then start AkrutoSync.
3. Click on “Select What to Sync” on the left panel of the AkrutoSync window and make sure that there are folders selected. Click “Save”.
4. Please check that the phone is still connected to WiFi. It is not enough if it is simply on, it must say “connected”. (IF SETUP TO SYNC OVER HOME NETWORK)
5. Please make sure that there is no error message shown in the AkrutoSync window on your computer. If there is an error message, please let us know what message is shown.
6. Force a sync on the phone. (https://www.akruto.com/f-a-q/#q_force_sync)

Immediately after forcing a sync, do you see the sync status under the categories (Contacts, calendar) in the AkrutoSync window on the computer change from “none” to “in progress” to “success”?

I am glad to report that yes, I did see “success” and we appear to be functioning normally again. Phew.

As promised above an update. After the restart I did on April 20 everything worked again as before, and stayed that way. Apparently after a major Office and/or Windows update and an automatic restart the system gets confused and the manual restart sorts that out again. Big relief, because Akruto is really very useful!

Purchased AcrutoSync a while back and after installation, worked just fine to approximately a week ago or so. Now I get a message that says that “Acrotosync has stopped working” when I try to run it.

Running Windows 7 Pro with Outlook 2016. Help!!

I sync over a home network, and, as above sync failed for no obvious reason. The above strategy failed. Akruto support [who are excellent, in my view] suggested turning mobile data off. Sync restored. Phew!!!
Interestingly, subsequent syncs with mobile data back on have also been fine. Clearly a strategy worth trying if there is an unexpected failure over wifi.

Same problem here, only not after an update; just after not turning my computer on for a few days.

Can’t force a sync with my Android. It changes the displayed date of the most recent sync on the Microsoft Exchange Account screen on the phone, but it doesn’t change any data.

The only suggestion support had was to TURN OFF MY FIREWALL!!!!!!!!

Are they serious? Do they really think users will want to keep their firewalls disabled just to sync their data?

Why would it suddenly become necessary to operate without a firewall when Akruto synced successfully with the firewall in place before?

And, BTW, when I tried disabling my firewall temporarily, Akruto still did not sync. It was useless advice. Ditto for the program.

So I turned my firewall back on and am cancelling my account with Akruto.

I have been using Akrutosync since 21/12/17 in wifi mode – worked for three days and performed initial syncing without problem. As at todays date (02/01/18) it does not sync at all. I am using an LGv20 (dual sim) with Android v7.0 (with updates) and WIN10, again fully updated. Auto update is turned on in the product. This has become extremely frustrating as I have better things to do than re-install software with no apparent change in the outcome – still not working. I have used the Akrutosync Support on three occasions and their response has only been to enquire whether I want to use wifi or internet and to re-install; not good enough. One more instance and I want my money back.

I chose the product because it would go a long way to assisting me professionally but this is just time wasting – does anyone have a solution, please?

Thanks in advance.

Hello Normand,

Following your email to our support, can you verify if AkrutoSync has now loaded properly on your computer?

If you are experiencing problems with the syncing, please send us a screenshot of the AkrutoSync window on your computer so we can check the status of the syncing.
