Sync iPhone with Outlook

Sync iPhone with Outlook

Customers who have multiple phones and devices have been asking, “How to sync Outlook calendar with iPhone?” Until now, we didn’t officially support iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch devices.

Customer feedback and forum users sharing their frustrations with trying to sync Outlook with iPhone through iTunes and iCloud prompted us to add official support for iOS devices. Akruto is the only software to directly sync Outlook Calendar with iPhone without going through iTunes or iCloud and uses the iOS’s own Calendar, Contacts, Reminders and Notes apps.

Because Akruto syncs with the iPhone’s Calendar, Contacts, Reminders and Notes, users can continue using the apps without needing to learn new apps. What’s more is that this integration works with all of the iPhone’s features, such accessing a contact when dialing or sharing a contact through a text message.

Sync iPhone with Outlook

“This is a tremendous method for syncing your Outlook and is FAR simpler than even going directly through Outlook!” writes P.B.

Sync Outlook with iPhone software that always works

Before we decided to support iOS devices, we did research to see how synchronization with iPhone and other iOS devices worked. We discovered that most forum discussions ended without a solution. Either users had to find another less convenient option to manage their personal information or they accepted it’d only work some of the time.

These options aren’t acceptable for professionals and Outlook power users who need something they can depend on and always have their data in sync. Akruto is reliable, accurate, seamless and secure. Many customers say the same thing: “It just works!”

When Apple released iOS 9, users couldn’t figure out how to sync Outlook Notes with iPhone because iTunes stopped doing this. A discussion on Apple’s forums about this has a screen shot showing that this feature is gone for good. Akruto works with iOS 9 ensuring all your Outlook Notes transfer between computer and iPhone.

When you sync Outlook with iPhone using AkrutoSync, you’ll get the following benefits:

  • Access all of your data because nothing is cut off, including long notes.
  • Do nothing else after you install it. Your data syncs automatically. No USB cable needed.
  • Sync without iTunes, which often slows computer performance and sync isn’t automatic.
  • Enjoy your privacy. Synced data is not shared with the cloud or Akruto.
  • Keep using your Calendar, Contacts, Reminders and Notes apps as usual.

Easy to Install Outlook iPhone Sync Software

AkrutoSync all started because George, the founder and CEO of Akruto, couldn’t find a sync software solution that met his requirements. He noticed that other solutions had one thing in common: Installing the sync software was too complicated for the average computer user. So one of his goals for AkrutoSync was to make it super simple to install.
Customer feedback and testimonials confirm that Akruto is easy to install that even computer novices are able to do it. You just install Akruto on a Windows PC and it’ll guide you through the process. “Easy to install and set-up,” says Jason B.

“Thank you so much for writing this program because I could not get iTunes to sync my Windows 8 Calendar items into my iPhone 6,” writes Brian S.

After you install AkrutoSync, relax and let Akruto do the rest. Your data automatically syncs across devices. Here’s a short video tutorial explaining how easy it is to sync Outlook contacts and calendars to iPhone with AkrutoSync:

Syncing Outlook Contacts with iPhone over the Internet or WiFi

With AkrutoSync you can get your Outlook Contacts on your iPhone without reentering your contact information – it all syncs automatically via a WI-FI network or the Internet.

Akruto keeps contacts from your Outlook out of the cloud, and never sees your private data. Your can have contacts from desktop Outlook on any number of connected devices. Even with Exchange server-like capabilities, you don’t need to be tech-savvy to install AkrutoSync.

Akruto completely and accurately syncs thousands of entries, in addition to contact photos – securely, completely and accurately. There are no limits to amount of Outlook contacts data you can transfer to iPhone. In addition, you can sync only contacts without transferring calendars and notes to your iPhone if you don’t want that.

Because Akruto syncs directly with the iPhone’s Contacts you don’t have to install any new app to host there your Outlook contacts. Simply continue using the native contacts app of your phone. What’s more, this works with all of the iPhone’s integrated features, such accessing a contact when dialing, or sharing a contact through a text message.

What you get with Outlook iPhone sync software

Here are some of the customers’ favorite AkrutoSync features.

Use device’s own apps.

Some Outlook sync software programs take up precious space on smartphones by adding its own calendar, contacts, notes and tasks apps to devices. Apple won’t let you delete its native apps, so you’d have two of everything. This clutters your screen. Akruto syncs your data and stays out of your way.

Transfer all events.

Sometimes you need to search for a past event or check your availability months ahead. Unfortunately, some iPhone calendar sync software programs only sync two weeks’ or three months’ worth of events. Akruto syncs all past and future events with no limits. If you add, delete or change an event on one device, all other devices and Windows Outlook will reflect this change.

Sync everything completely including long notes.

Some sync Outlook sync software tend to cut off notes and information. Some don’t sync contacts’ photos. Akruto accurately syncs everything. Give it a try by creating long notes. We’ve tested it by copying all of Shakespeare’s sonnets into a note.

Protect your privacy.

Your privacy is important. Akruto syncs your data over a Wi-Fi network (no data plan) or the Internet (uses data plan) through a secure, encrypted connection. “I could not recommend this more highly for those who need to have an up-to-date calendar and are not happy with putting their personal information in the cloud,” Richard C. writes.

Provide responsive and 24/7 support.

Akruto is the only sync software company to offer 24/7 support. “I’m not a computer guy and their tech support held my hand all the way through,” writes Earle P. We offer email and live chat support. We also follow up with a phone call if you prefer that.

Transfer data two-way.

It doesn’t matter where you update your information. Akruto syncs both ways. Your updated Microsoft Outlook Calendar, Contacts, Tasks and Notes show up in your iPhone’s Calendar, Contacts, Reminders and Notes. And vice versa. If you have an Android, Windows Phone, Windows Surface, iPad, iPad Mini, or another iOS device, those will sync too.

Sync iPhone X, iPhone 8, iPhone 7 and earlier models with Outlook.

Every time a new phone, phablet, tablet or other mobile device comes out, Akruto makes sure that Outlook sync continues working. The software is compatible with iPhone X, iPhone 8 and 8 Plus, iPhone 7 and 7Plus, iPhone 6S, iPhone 6S Plus, iPhone 6, iPhone 5, iPhone 4, and even iPhone 3GS. (Does anyone still use this?)

“Akruto made the previously impossible task of syncing the latest versions of Outlook with my iPhone 6 a breeze. It was a life saver!” Gary D says.

Sync Outlook with iPhone and other devices

According to “Digital Democracy Survey” from Deloitte, 37 percent of Americans are digital omnivores in that they have three devices: smartphone, tablet and laptop.

So you may want to sync Outlook with other devices in addition to your iPhone or other iOS device. With Akruto, you can sync Outlook with Android and Windows Phone. One license covers one PC and unlimited mobile devices including tablets and smartphones.

It’s important to us that you can make sure AkrutoSync is a good fit for you. Skip iTunes sync and start Outlook sync now and try Akruto free for seven days. This is the full version of the software with no limitations. See for yourself how easy it is to install and sync iPhone Outlook.

“Very easy way to keep my Outlook calendar synced with my iPhone 6,” writes Roger W.

If you want to continue using Akruto to sync iPhone with Outlook, just pay a one-time fee of $39.95 (multiple license discounts available) and enter the registration code we send you. “Smooth switch from trial to paid version, transparent,” wrote Sandra L.

I have two iPhones (4s and 6s ) and want to sync them with Outlook 2013. How do I sync Outlook contacts and calendar appointments with my 6s and only contacts with 4s? Can I do that with Akruto?
If so, will contacts I add on the first iPhone automatically show up on another iPhone?

    • Akruto Support August 15, 2016 at 1:54 pm

      Hello Jaden!
You can connect unlimited number of devices and set separate sets of data to sync with each iPhone. That means you can have Outlook contacts and calendar synced with 6s while your 4s will only host contacts.
As for the second question, any new contact you will add on your iPhone will be transferred to your second iPhone and Outlook as well.

I need a way to automatically transfer notes from my iPhone to Outlook over the air. It seems like iCloud no longer works with Outlook notes, or its just another annoying bug from Apple or Microsoft.
However, with all this stuff happening with iCloud and Outlook, does your software still sync notes or it’s been affected with this bug as well?

    • Akruto Support August 17, 2016 at 11:37 am

      Hello Helen,
It seems like a trend, not a bug. iTunes doesn’t support syncing notes since this spring, so it’s quite possible that syncing notes through iCloud will be discontinued as well.
As for the question, AkrutoSync makes sure any portion of data (including notes) is properly synced between Outlook and connected devices. After the initial setup your iPhone will communicate with Outlook through AkrutoSync on your PC. This will transfer any new notes to Outlook.

    Hello!
Just got my new iPhone 7 and wonder how to sync it with contacts and calendars from Outlook 2013. Does AkrutoSync support syncing iPhone 7 with this version of Outlook?

    • Akruto Support September 26, 2016 at 1:58 pm

      Hello William,
Our software supports syncing between iPhone 7 and Outlook of any version, which means you are able to transfer any amount of Outlook data to your iPhone 7.

  • Peter September 26, 2016 at 2:07 pm

    Hello guys,
Can I get Outlook calendar on my iPhone 7 without going through the Cloud using your software?
Is there support for iOS 10?

    • Akruto Support September 27, 2016 at 9:47 am

      Hello Peter,
AkrutoSync is the best way to transfer Outlook calendar to iPhone without using the public Cloud services. You can sync via Wi-Fi hotspot or over the Internet without storing your data elsewhere but your PC and iPhone. And Yes, AkrutoSync works perfectly with iOS 10 devices.

I have a locked work computer which has the Outlook version with associated Calendar and Contacts I would like to transfer to my iPhone.

Is there a way to do the transfer by loading your software on my iPhone only (since I cannot load anything to my work laptop)?

Can the sync be done if I put your software on an external drive and then use it on my work computer?

    • Akruto Support October 12, 2016 at 10:54 am

Hello, Sonia. Sadly, if you are not allowed to install anything on your computer, AkrutoSync will not work for you. AkrutoSync can let you sync without installing anything on your phone, but unfortunately this does not help in your case.

  • Peter October 20, 2016 at 8:56 pm

I want to sync my iPhone with Outlook notes. Does your software support syncing Notes after that is no longer supported in iTunes and iCloud? Do I have to install anything on my phone to make syncing happen? I mean, I’ve tried using some software similar to yours but I’m not really happy with working outside of the native apps of my iPhone.

    • Akruto Support October 22, 2016 at 3:59 pm

Apple’s built-in notes app works with AkrutoSync. You will not need to install anything on the iPhone to sync Outlook notes using AkrutoSync.

Just upgraded to iPhone 7 and have a pre buying question.
Can I switch between syncing via Wi-Fi to syncing over the Internet and back again?

    • Akruto Support November 1, 2016 at 11:23 am

      Hello Lana,
Yes, you can do that easily. However, you need to reconfigure AkrutoSync each time you need to switch between these two methods of syncing.

Is there a way transfer Outlook calendar to my iPhone 7 without iTunes and iCloud by using your software?

  • Torrington November 5, 2016 at 12:00 pm

We have one PC but my wife and I have two separate outlook accounts on it. Our contacts lists are different.

Can your software distinguish between the two account?
If so would I need multiple licenses?
If my wife has contacts are her iPhone but lost her Outlook ost. File will here phone contact get pulled into her outlook?

    • Akruto Support November 7, 2016 at 4:26 pm

Yes, you can sync separate contact lists for you and your wife. You will need to install two copies of AkrutoSync on your PC and will need two licenses for this. AkrutoSync needs to have all your contacts in Outlook first, before you can set up sync. If your wife’s contacts are not in Outlook, our support can help you transfer them to Outlook first. With the two items you listed, your setup is more complicated compared to most users, so I recommend that you purchase our remote installation service and have us set it up for you.

    Hey!
I’m looking for a replacement for iTunes as it fails to sync Outlook data with my iPhone 7. It can transfer data from Outlook but seems not being able to transfer updates from my phone back to Outlook. Can I fix this issue with Akruto?

    • Akruto Support November 7, 2016 at 5:12 pm

When it comes to syncing with Outlook, our software is one of the best alternatives to iTunes. You can easily sync Outlook data two-way without being afraid of anything missing on any of your devices.

    • Akruto Support November 15, 2016 at 10:45 am

Yes, you can. Depending on you set it up, the calendars on your two PCs can sync with each other and with your iPhone; or the two calendars will remain separate on your PCs, but iPhone and will show both. Contact support, and we will help you set it up the way you want.

My personal computer is a new Macbook Pro. My business requires an HP windows 7. But I don’t want to take both (with accessories everywhere (like on vacation), so I have installed a Win 7 Ultimate Virtual Machine under VMWare Fusion 8.5 on the Mac. I transferred my Outlook 2010 folders to a USB and can run Outlook just fine. When I want to go back to my HP, I copy the Outlook files back to it, and we’re done.

Just one issue now that I hope works with your environment. Right now I sync my iPhone 6 to my MAC, and to my HP. The HP sync is just to get the Outlook stuff, and I have to fool iTunes a bit to make that work. I know I can use Akrutsync to sync my HP, but can I install it on my VM and sync with the iPhone (given that the VM is on the same device as I also sync my iPhone?

    • Akruto Support September 6, 2017 at 11:23 am

Hello Bill. You are doing some advanced stuff here 🙂 Yes, you can add AkrutoSync into the mixture. Couple of points to note to make sure everything runs smoothly.

      1) Make sure that the network adapter on your Parallels VM is set to ‘Bridged’ (this is not the Apple’s default, so you will need to change it).

      2) Before you move your PST file from your HP PC to your VM, delete all Akruto stuff your phone, so that it does not try to sync with your PC. After you move the PST file, set up sync between your VM and your phone. When you are ready to move back from VM to HP PC, do the opposite.

I consider upgrading to iPhone 8 Plus or iPhone X (still not sure which one I like the most). Does your software work with iPhone 8 as well as with iPhone X? Can I sync Outlook calendar and contacts with any iPhone of my choice?

    • Akruto Support September 19, 2017 at 11:21 pm

      Hello Henry,
Thank you for your interest in our software. Yes, you can sync iPhone 8 as well as iPhone X with Outlook contacts, calendars, notes and tasks. You can even sync your new and old iPhone with the same desktop Outlook simultaneously.

  • Tom October 10, 2017 at 2:05 pm

will this software work with IOS 11.0.1?

    • Akruto Support October 10, 2017 at 2:59 pm

Yes, AkrutoSync works with all iOS versions and with all iPhone and iPad models.

  • Angela C. November 1, 2017 at 1:27 pm

Does Akrutosync allow for an iPhone 7 to sync modified and/or deleted instances of reoccurring meetings to show up on the User’s desktop Outlook, as well as on his Outlook delegate’s desktop version of Outlook (and on her iPhone 6s as well)? I am a Delegate for my boss, but I cannot view or update his calendar on my iPhone 6s. Also, he is having syncing issues when he edits or deletes an instance of a reoccurring meeting on his iPhone as the change does not reflect on his desktop Outlook but rather duplicates the edit as a new instance of the meeting (if this makes sense)–resulting in two instances of the reoccurring meeting; the original and the edited version. Weird.

Thanks in advance. I sincerely hope we have found a solution to this terribly frustrating, ongoing issue.

    • Akruto Support November 2, 2017 at 10:30 am

Hello Angela. Yes, AkrutoSync can sync modifications to individual occurrences of a recurring appointment. I did not quite understand the other part of your question. It is best if you contact our support by clicking ‘contact us’ at the top of the page. We’ll make sure everything is working perfectly for you in your setup.

  • Kent October 5, 2021 at 8:22 pm

Will Akruto.com sync Microsoft Outlook-for-Cloud on my Windows laptop computer with iPhone-8?

    • Akruto Support May 12, 2022 at 8:02 am

Yes. AkrutoSync works with all versions of Outlook, including Outlook for Cloud. iPhone 8 works with AkrutoSync, too. We support all devices from an old iPhone 6 to the latest iPhone 13 Pro Max.
