I am using Akruto to sync the calendar between my android phone and my Outlook calendar on my desktop PC. I would like to do the same for my Outlook calendar on my laptop. Does my subscription cover this? Akruto isn’t installed on my laptop. I am using Office 365 for my Outlook on both PC’s.

    Hi Linda,

The normal setup is installed in AkrutoSync on the primary computer where Outlook is running, and multiple “devices” connect to this one computer. The “device can be a phone or a tablet, but if your laptop is running on Windows 8.1 / 8.0 / 10 or Outlook 2013 / 2016 then it can also act as a “device” .

It is possible to install AkrutoSync on computer A, and set up computer B to sync with it.

Computer A or the main computer must have a full version of Windows, As long as it is not running Windows RT. Computer A can have any version of Outlook installed with the combination of AkrutoSync.

Computer B must have Outlook 2013/2016. It is OK if computer B has Windows RT (although it can also have a full version of Windows).

For Computer A. When setting up sync in Akruto, select the “Windows Phone” option. When Akruto asks you to open a website, Go to Computer B and use Internet Explorer, do not use any other browser. Windows will ask you whether to choose a certificate store automatically or let you choose the certificate store manually. You need to manually choose the certificate store called “Trusted Root Certificate Authorities”.

Then open Outlook 2013/2016 settings and create the manual account. Choose Exchange AcriveSync (usually written as Outlook.com or Exchange ActiveSync in Outlook 2013/2016. Enter the fake email address displayed in AkrutoSync window and the password, just like you would do with any phone or tablet. Outlook 2013/2016 will act just like any physical phone or tablet.

    Hi Raphael,

this are really good news – syncing my phone *and* the notebook with outlook on the leading desktop would be so fine!

But unfortunately Outlook 2016 changed the wizard when you want to create a new Exchange-Account. It’s only possible to enter the fake email-adress but there is no form to enter the connection data manualy. It seems that Outlook 2016 forces autodiscover.

    Hi Mat,

Microsoft kept the wizard, but it is a little harder to get to.

You may use this article from from Microsoft https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/3189194/how-to-disable-simplified-account-creation-in-outlook-2016

Let me know if this works for you.

I am currently using Akruto Sync between my Windows 10 Phone and Outlook 2010 on my PC.
Is this method working with Office versions before 2013/365 as well?
I have Outlook 2010 running on several PCs.

    Regards,
    Uwe

    Hi Uwe,

Unfortunately, the second computer (Computer B) must have Outlook version 2013/2016. The instruction won’t work on lower version of Microsoft Outlook for the second computer.

Computer A or the main computer must have a full version of Windows, As long as it is not running Windows RT. Computer A can have any version of Outlook installed with the combination of AkrutoSync.

    Hi Tony,

Please open Outlook on the second computer and click Send/Receive tab. Click “Send/Receive All Folders” to force a sync from the second computer.

Let me know if this helps.

    Windows 10 – Outlook 2019

I am triyng to synchronize two Outlook.

On computer B, the option to create a new email are Office 365, POP/Imap and Exchange. I try to use this last option but I hve to enter the name of the mail server. I try the second part of the fake email address (after @), akrname.com, akruto.com. Nothing works.

    A solution? Thanks

    Hello Fabien,

You can try creating the Exchange account on your computer B by going to Control Panel > Mail. If this still doesn’t work, please send an email to support@akruto.com for further troubleshooting.

Is there a way to do the same thing but with both of my PC in a different locations? Don’t mind buying a second license if needed.

I have Windows 7 Pro on both PCs, and Outlook 2013 on both PCs as well. I currently synch with my Android phone and my iPad, I would love it if I could somehow also synch it with my computer at teh office.

It worked for me. Just done it. First, I had issues with the Iexplorer not going to the website. I found that I was connected via a small switch/hub. I had enough empty ports on my modem to connect both my laptop and desktop directly, and whalah, the certificate thinggy came up. I accepted it and allowed it and all that jazz.

Next like a previous poster, when I tried creating an exchane email via OUTLOOK (365) it didn’t work. I followed the link you suggested about forcing OUTLOOK to let you manually create an email. I opened Outlook and this time it asked for the information that I had. Server and username was posted directly on my Akrutosync software window so I didn’t even have to remember that. It took a couple of times, because i didn’t click the box saying to manually set it up. After I did that, I choose ExchangeActiveSync followed by Name:blahblah Email: provided on Akrutosync software window if you forget Mail Server: ditto, provided on window Username: I erased the last part of the email address leaving just the username Password: yeah that. It worked!!

Running Windows 10 Using Office 365 subscription. I tested with Calendar Appointment from my laptop (phone and Desktop synced), from my phone (laptop and Desktop synced) and finally from my desktop (laptop and phone synced). Of Note, on the phone. To get it to update and sync, what I normally do (there may be a better way) I go to the list of active tasks (on my phone, its the bottom right button, some may be switched to bottom left) and once it pulls up all the active things (ie calendar) I click on clear all. When I reopen, it syncs everything.

Thanks for the help AkrutoSync. Thanks for the useful software.

I have used Akrutosync for several years to sync my calendar between my PC, my iPhone, and my iPad. I absolutely love the product. I have replaced the ipad with a Surface Pro 6.

Is there a way to keep the sync with my iphone, and sync the Outlook calendars on my PC and Surface Pro?

    Let me know.
