How to update the Exchange server address on your Samsung Galaxy Phone
When your computer’s IP address changes, AkrutoSync will prompt you to enter the new address into your phone. Below are step-by-step instructions for Samsung Galaxy S5 Phone with Android 4.4 KitKat or older. You can also use these instructions with other Samsung Android phones, such as Samsung Galaxy S5, Samsung Galaxy S4, Samsung Galaxy S3, Samsung Galaxy S2, and Samsung tablets. For all Samsung devices with Android 5.0 Lollipop or newer, use our Galaxy S6 instructions.
1) Touch the “Apps” icon on your phone’s home screen, then tap “Settings”
2) Touch “Accounts” at the top of the screen, then tap “Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync”
4) Touch the Akruto Exchange account
5) Scroll to the bottom and touch “More settings”
6) Scroll to the bottom again and touch “Exchange server settings”
7) Scroll to the bottom and update the “Exchange server” field so that it matches your computer’s new IP address. If you entered a new password in the previous step, update the password field as well. Then, tap “Done” at the bottom.
8) If you get a warning about an untrusted SSL certificate, tap “Continue”. Then scroll to the bottom and tap ‘Done’, or if the phone automatically returns to the previous screen and you see that the AkrutoSync window on your computer shows the normal main screen, this means that the account has successfully been updated to match your computer’s new IP address.
The connection between the phone and AkrutoSync should now be restored, and Akruto will continue to keep your device/s in sync with Outlook on your computer.
