Sync Galaxy Note8 with Outlook
”Do bigger things” – that’s the slogan of the new Galaxy Note8 by Samsung. The device has one of the largest screens available on the market that still fits easily in your hand. It comes in five different colors and is accompanied with the S Pen that promises a new UI experience, especially with the graphic apps.
Last year, problems with previous the generation of Note devices put the entire lineup at risk. Because of the notorious battery issue, Samsung could easily have canceled Note8 but, fortunately, this didn’t happen. Galaxy Note8 is equipped with industry-leading hardware and Samsung’s technical innovation that makes this smartphone one of the best devices in its class.
If you are a lucky owner of the Galaxy S8 and want to sync it with Outlook, we have a perfect solution that will suit your needs. With AkrutoSync, you can automatically sync Note8 with Outlook contacts, calendar events, tasks, and notes. The best news is that SSL-certificate protects your data with a similar level of security that you have with your Internet banking. AkrutoSync doesn’t use any cloud or 3rd party servers to synchronize your data—everything remains securely on your PC. Following is how AkrutoSync works with each type of Outlook data.
Syncing Outlook Contacts with Galaxy Note8 Contacts App
Syncing contacts with Galaxy Note8 is essential if you rely on Outlook to manage your personal or business contacts. To start syncing Outlook contacts, install AkrutoSync on your PC, connecting Note8 to the same wireless network (in case you are syncing over a Wi-Fi hotspot) and start the set-up process.
This video explains how to synchronize any Android device with Outlook (all steps and experiences with predecessors are the same on the Note8):
How to Sync Outlook Calendar with Galaxy Note8 Using AkrutoSync
Using AkrutoSync for syncing calendar data between desktop Outlook and Galaxy Note8 is a perfect solution if you have a busy calendar but, still, want to keep your data private and secure. The biggest advantage with the calendar is the ability to sync both current and past calendar events. This is especially critical when you sync Outlook data for the first time and want the Note8 calendar to be a perfect copy of your Outlook calendar.
Syncing calendar is simple and fast. The entire process takes only a few minutes. You can also switch between syncing via Wi-Fi hotspot and over the Internet if you are planning a trip but want your calendar to receive all updates. Rest assured, all of your data will be protected because AkrutoSync doesn’t use cloud servers—even when transferring data over the Internet.
Transferring Outlook Tasks to Galaxy Note8
Many people use Outlook tasks to manage their to-do lists and daily tasks. If you are one of those people, and willing to connect your Note8 with Outlook Tasks, AkrutoSync can help you. The first thing you will need to check is whether your phone has a built-in tasks app that supports syncing with Exchange server. If you have such an app, to finalize the set-up process, all you will need to do is choose the right folder in the AkrutoSync interface. All tasks will then be transferred from Outlook to Note8. If you don’t have an app that works with Exchange server, you should install one.
The two best apps for managing tasks that support Exchange ActiveSync technology are the Touchdown app and Tasks and Notes for MS Exchange. Both apps are perfect for what they were created to do and fully tested for compatibility with Akruto.
Sync Notes Between Galaxy Note8 and Outlook
Outlook Notes is a well-known but not too widely-used way to manage notes. Many people look for alternative solutions such as Evernote because of their rich functionality. If you use Outlook Notes for storing and managing important data, then syncing it with AkrutoSync is a wise choice. Your experience will be the same as when syncing any Outlook data described above. But if you don’t have a pre-installed app for managing notes on your Note8, stick to one of the two apps suggested in the Tasks section above.
After setup is complete, your notes will transfer within a minute or two. If you want to transfer existing notes from Note8, you will want to recreate them. This will associate notes with a new type of connection and mark them as a type of data that requires syncing across devices.

Will I be able to sync my new Note8 with Outlook 2016 and with my Note 7?
Thanks
Hello Peter,
Thank you for your interest in Akruto.
Our Outlook syncing tool allows connecting the unlimited number of Android devices to your desktop Outlook. That means you can sync both of your smartphones with Outlook with using AkrutoSync.
I synced my desktop Outlook to my Galaxy Note 8 and it works fine with the Samsung Contact and Calendar feature. Recently I installed “Outlook for Android” on my Note 8 and would like for AkrutoSync to sync with my “Outlook” on my Android device. How do I do this?
To sync with the Outlook app, you need to create an account within the Outlook app. Use the email address displayed in the AkrutoSync window (instead of your actual email address) and the password that you created when setting up AkrutoSync.
