    Hi,

I’m using an LG G6 phone with Android 7.0 on it. Five days ago I installed AcrutoSync version 5.2.30 (trial version) to test it before buying the full version. I’d like to use it to synchronize my local Outlook 2013 Calendar and Task items to the phone (and in the opposite direction).
The installation and configuration worked flawlessly. Initial synchronization of Task and Calendar entries, and subsequent sync of new items on the PC, as well as on the phone side also worked for a couple of days.
Yesterday I added a new appointment in Outlook and noticed somewhat later that it wasn’t synchronized to the phone. After deleting the appointment and creating a new one, it was also not synchronized. So I created another appointment on the phone, to test the synchronization in the opposite direction. Unfortunately, this appointment was not synchronized to Outlook, either.
The Calendar “Status” field in the Akruto window shows “none”, and the “Started” and “Finished” fields are empty, as there would be no new calendar items there to synchronize (although I created two new ones).
During all this time, tasks are synchronized normally. The Tasks “Status” field shows “Success”, and the number of tasks that were sent and received is displayed.

Any ideas how to restart the synchronization of Calendar entries?

    Thanks,
    Rok

    Hi Rok,

    Thank you for choosing AkrutoSync,

I’m sorry that you are having this problem. We strive to give our users a quick and seamless sync solution, and the trouble you are having is not what we want our customers to have to experience.

    Please check the following:

    1. Make sure your phone is not on “Airplane Mode”

    2. Please open settings -> Wi-Fi on your phone and make sure it says “connected”. Not just “on”, but “connected” to the same network of your PC. If your PC or laptop is also using Wi-Fi make sure it is connected to the same Wi-Fi network that your phone is connected to. Also make sure that Mobile Data / Cellular Data is Turned OFF. Also, if you have a 2.4 ghz or 5 ghz band network. Make sure both devices are connected to the same band.

    3. If you have a firewall on your computer, it may be preventing the connection. You can try disabling the firewall (as a test only) to see if it is the reason for connection problems. If you are using something other than the Windows Firewall, please make sure Akruto is listed as “allowed”. If this does not work, completely turn off your firewall and force a sync if still does not work please restart your PC and Phone.

We will wait for your response.

    Hi Brian,

    Thank you for your reply.

I followed your advice and checked the connection of my phone in the local network – the phone is indeed connected properly. To prove it, I have pinged the phone from my PC, and I get a proper ping reply with the normal response times for the local network.

I also checked the Windows firewall on my Windows 7 notebook. There is a proper exception in place for the AkrutoSync 5.2.30, so no need to disable the firewall altogether.

As the last resort, I have restarted both my PC and my phone – unfortunately, Akruto still doesn’t sync my Calendar.

Can you suggest any other means of diagnosing this problem? Today is the last day of my trial period, and I would like to make sure the AkrutoSync is able to orderly synchronize my Outlook, so I can go ahead and purchase it.

    Thank you,
    Rok

    Hi Rok,

During the initial setup we highly suggest to totally turn off firewall since these types of software’s receives updates that it sometimes blocks applications in the allowed list.

We will wait for your response.

I have the same problem and it is not a firewall problem : the contacts are synchronized but not the agenda!

    Hi Brian,

Let me emphasize that AcrutoSync did work for the first two or three days with the standard installation process – that is, with the Windows Firewall turned on. The current problem only occured three or four days after the initial setup, when I noticed it doesn’t synchronize my Outlook Calendar entries any more, but continues to synchronize my Task items. So highly unlikely that the firewall would selectively let through the synchronization actions for the Tasks items, but not for the Calendar items.

Nevertheless, I have followed your advice and disabled my Windows firewall. Sadly, Acruto still doesn’t synchronize the Calendar items.

Right now, in the Acruto window on my desktop, under the current Sync section, the Calendar Status shows none, and the Started and Finished fields are empty. In contrast, the Tasks Status shows success, under the Started and Finished it show 18:03 (time when I manually initiated the sync process), and below it show 4 tasks that have been synchronized.

I’m not familiar with the syntax of the akruto.log file, but I’m assuming that it serves the purpose of observing the Akruto operation, and can possibly help diagnosing problems.

Can you help me with diagnosing my problem?

    Kind regards,
    Rok

    Hi Brian,

Following your directions, I’ve sent the zipped Akruto.log file from my PC to the support@akruto.com email address.

Unfortunately, this case is open for more than a week already and my trial period has expired in the meantime. Hopefully the sent Akruto.log file will help your team to further investigate this issue.

    Thank you,

    Hello,

I have had the same problem too with my phone sync. my calendar, contacts and notes have synced well for over a year but late last week, I think around the time that an update for Akrutosync was installed it stopped syncing. I cannot ping akruto through my phone (times out).

I am using Samsung S9 and have Windows 10 on my PC and Office 365 Outlook

Let me know what I can send you to check (logs, etc)

I love this program but if it can’t be fixed will have to look elsewhere

    Hi,
I am experiencing exactly the same issue as Rok (details above). The syncing of my Calendar, and only the Calendar has stopped, the other syncs are continuing as normal.
I have tried all the options you have listed in this Topic chain, plus several other thigs myself…all to no avail.
Please advise how I can resolve this.
I have been using Akrutosync for several years and never experienced any issues before so it seems strange that this should start now.
    Many thanks,
    David.

Exact same problem here. I just sent my log to support.

I did notice that on my Samsung S7, the exchange server account has options to sync ‘contacts’ and ’email’, but not one to sync calendar. Hopefully that is correct.

    SOLVED for me:

On the phone, I went to options/Apps, clicked the three dots top right and chose to view ‘show system apps’.

There was an entry for ‘calendar’ and another for ‘calendar storage’. The latter was disabled. I re-enabled it, then removed the Akruto exchange activesync account and recreated it. Now, when I clicked on ‘sync account’ I had two more options that were not there before: Calendar and Tasks (previously it only had Contacts and Email). Sync started up right away.

I have contact support several times, and after backwards and forwards for many days, I have eventually uninstalled and reinistalled and it usually works for a week or so, then back to not working again.
Another issue I have now, is that I tried to update (as instructed) and the program could not see the Akruto was closed. Now I cant open it at all. I am over this program
Please advise if there have been any real ways to resolve this. – it is only the calendar not contacts or notes ever.

    Hi,

    We apologize for the inconvenience.

    Please try this:

Close AkrutoSync and close your Outlook then restart your computer and phone.
After the restart, make sure that both of your computer and phone are connected to the same network.

Open your Outlook first and wait for 5 minutes before opening AkrutoSync. Then force a sync on your phone and see if it will make any difference.

In case this didn’t work, please help us diagnose the problem by sending an email to support@akruto.com along with the screenshot of AkrutoSync main window and the make and model of your phone to proceed with further troubleshooting steps.

As of the last couple of days I too am having trouble syncing Calendar with exactly the same issues as above, Contacts and Tasks status show as successful and currant time as correct but calendar Status as none with no times available. Have rebooted the programme , the computer, and both phones to no avail. Alterations to Contacts are reflected to all devices with immediate effect so cannot believe this could be a problem with window defender firewall?

I have just set up my ipad to connect with outlook for the first time which it has done correctly and now programme calendar status shows success with the correct time.
Having had this success I then deleted the exchange account on one of my phones and reloaded it all Calendar events are now up to date. Obviously I will now do the same to my second phone, but the mystery is what caused the problem in the first place as up till now this programme has worked flawlessly.

I had the same problem. I followed the actions described by Paul W and now everything works correctly again. I think it has to do with an update of Outlook on the phone.
I had problems synchronizing the agenda after updating this app.

    Thank you Paul! 🙂

    The problem WASN’T “solved”!
LOTS of people still have this problem of Calendar deciding to no longer sync.
Uninstalling the APP is NOT a SOLUTION… it’s a workaround.

My Calendar stopped syncing (after years of use) again a week ago, but Contacts still syncs.
The last time this happened, it took SOOOO long for your tech support to respond that I just reconfigured Akruto.
[Actually, response time wasn’t so bad, but the things suggested to “try” made no troubleshooting sense… like above. (if it worked in the past, it ain’t a firewall issue. And so on.)]
If this issue was actually solved, it wouldn’t still be happening.
