GuestHi,
I have AkrutoSync configured using a dynamic DNS and it is working well. In about a weeks time I am heading to a second location where I will be for about 2 months. The computer that hosts my Outlook will be going with me. The original DDNS needs to remain intact for other purposes but I have a second DDNS pointing to the 2nd location.
Is there an easy way to switch the DDNS domain names in AkrutoSync and my Android phone without disrupting anything?
Thanks.

GuestWhat I ended up doing is to set up a second exchange account using the new DDNS info. The phone now syncs to whichever one is available.

GuestHowever, I do need to reconfigure AkrutoSync on my desktop when I change locations.

GuestUpon further use this solution ended up duplicating all of my calendar entries, contact and notes. What I had to do was delete both exchange accounts, create a new dynamic dns name, and have that name updated by the computer image that ran my outlook. In this way where ever outlook is running it will update the dns.
It is unlikely others will run into this same issue as my case is very specific. I run a copy of Win7 as a virtual machine and my outlook runs in the VM. I transport the hard drive the VM is on from place to place and boot it wherever I am. I have DDNS set up for each location but if I set up two exchange accounts, one for each DDNS then I get the duplicates. I can’t ‘move’ the DDNS because I have other machines that still need it in each location, so the only answer was to use a third DDNS specifically for the outlook instance.
ModeratorHi Alex,
Thank you for choosing AkrutoSync,
Do you also bring the computer with you whenever you are changing locations?
if yes, The recent version of Akruto enables our customers to be able to sync on un-restricted Wi-Fi networks. This means that Akruto will be able to sync in any network as long as both computers and phone are on that same network. The setup should be via Sync over home network and “Simple” method.
However, there are limitations in this feature since Wi-Fi networks especially public Wi-Fi have restrictions.
We will wait for your response
