GuestHello,
I currently run AkrutoSync to sync Outlook on my PC with my iphone. I am decommissioning my current PC in favor of a faster machine. I plan to uninstall AkrutoSync from my old PC and then install it on my new PC. (detail: the new PC will have a different IP address than the old PC)
My question is: What is the vendor-recommended procedure for setting up the new AkrutoSync install on the PC and then reconfiguring my iphone to sync with the new install?
I’m hoping to avoid ending up with hundreds of duplicate entries afterward, and also hoping I won’t have to completely remove the existing Akruto account(s) from my phone. Any hints or warnings about potential gotchas would be greatly appreciated. If I’m super-lucky it will be as simple as changing the relevant IP address in the iphone’s Akruto account(s) config.
Thanks in advance for any help anyone can offer!

ModeratorHi Jerry,
Thank you for contacting Akruto. The root source for the sync is always the Outlook Data File. You need to transfer the Outlook Data File from the original computer to the replacement computer for it contains your entries in Calendar, Contacts, Tasks and Notes (it depends on which type/s you sync). You need to ask assistance from Microsoft on how to do that or check online sources.
For AkrutoSync:
If you paid the one-time fee of $34.95 or $39.95 USD for that license, that is only good for the first computer that you originally installed AkrutoSync. A transferable license is the one for the PREMIUM (the $2.99 USD/month that can be paid per quarter or per year). Please refer to: https://www.akruto.com/get-akruto-sync/Here is a possible workaround, go to: https://www.akruto.com/files/upgrade/download
Download, install the latest version of AkrutoSync which is 5.2.25
If it will show that it is a trial version or the trial has expired – activate it using the Registration Code that you receive from Akruto on the day that you paid for the license – if it activates then it is good for the Paid Version. If it does not activate, you need to purchase a new license.NOTE: the Exchange account in your phone that was linked to AkrutoSync from your older computer WILL NOT WORK on the new computer. Please make sure that you have transferred the data file of Outlook from your computer that contains the Calendar, Contacts, Tasks and Notes (it depends which type/s you sync) to the new computer.
Any data in your phone right now for Calendar, Contacts, Tasks and Notes (it depends which type/s you sync) WILL NOT SYNC thru AkrutoSync.

Alfredo Delola
