    Hello:

I have been using Akruto to sync my MS-Outlook calendar and contacts for a number of years now. It’s been working without any issues.

As of a few days ago, however, my Verizon FIOS equipment was ugraded; thus, I now have a different home network. Presently, I cannot sync data between Outlook and my phone any longer.

The following settings have been verified on my LAPTOP:
    1. Laptop is *connected* to the new Wi-Fi network.
    2. ESET antivirus has been paused (for testing only); also, I added the Akruto filepath to the “Rules” IOT to allow Akruto to work w/o the antivirus blocking it.

The following settings have been verified on my PHONE:
    1. Phone is *connected* to the new Wi-Fi network.
    2. Airplane mode is OFF.
    3. Bluetooth is on.

Now, once I get to the Akruto step where I need to enter my http://….akrname.com into the phone, the phone display “This site can’t be reached” in its browser.

Given the verification of the required settings (see above), what else may be missing to ensure I can bring up the akrname.com site on the phone.

    Thank you,
    Tom

    Hello Tom,

    Thank you for your message.

Let us check if the phone and the computer can communicate with each other.

    1. Go to the Wi-Fi settings of your phone. Tap the Wi-Fi connection where your phone is currently connected to and look for IP Address or IPV4 Address.

    2. On your computer, go to Start (Or the Window Circle), then All Programs, then Accessories, then Command Prompt. In the black box type in IPCONFIG look for the IPV4 address or IP Address and default gateway.

Thank you for the additional information. I checked out the IP address on my phone. It is as follows:

    Laptop (IPv4 Address):
    ###.168.1.154

    Laptop (Default Gateway):
    ###.168.1.1

    ————————————

Next, I located the IP address on my phone. I found it under: “Settings | Connections | {My Network} | IP address”. The IP address is as follows:

    Phone (IP address):
    ###.168.1.152

… where ### is equal for all 3 IP addresses on both the laptop and phone.

That said, the last 3 digits of the IPv4 address on the laptop = 154 while the last 3 on the phone = 152. Is this this it is not working any longer?

If yes, how can it be fixed? Again, I kept the same phone but merely upgrade my FIOS network.

    Thank you,
    Tom

    Hello,

The IP addresses looks good. May I know if you are using antivirus software such as Avast and AVG?

    Looking forward to your response.

    I’ve been using ESET32 Antivirus.

As mentioned in my original post, I never (i.e., over last few years) had any issues with ESET interfering w/ the sync. To be certain though, I added Akruto’s file path to the “Rules” in ESET.

So, the only thing that changed last week was the upgrade of my FIOS equipment which resulted in my having a different “home network”. All else remained the same.

I really experience some difficulties since my calendar (and contacts) are no longer synced. Is there any way we could have you start a remote session and view/verify a few things?

    VR,
    Tom

    Hello,

Please go back to the previous step and instead of choosing “Simple”, please choose “Advanced” then go through this setup.

We do have a service called Akruto Gold which one of us can set up the sync for you. There is a $49.95 charge for this. If you are interested, we can schedule the remote set up wherein we remotely control your PC and possibly your phone (If supported by the remote application).

    https://akruto-install.dpdcart.com/cart/add?product_id=67106&method_id=69252
Please note that the installation price is in addition to the cost of the license code and is not refundable. The cost of the license code is refundable within 90 days. We will refund the installation cost if we are unable to install the product for some reason. For more information and better instructions, please send an email to support@akruto.com.

Let me know if this worked for you.

I already a paid license. However, I’d be willing to pay for the remote support IOT to get me to sync my data AGAIN.

Let’s schedule the remote session asap.

    Thank you,
    Tom
