I am trying to reach Akruto Support. Normally, they are very responsive. This time they are not and it’s been over a day and no response. Anyone else having an issue getting a response from tech support or having an issue with Akruto syncing with their device?

I am having the same problem. I submitted a support request on Sunday and as of today, Wednesday, no response at all. Not even an acknowledgment.

We have had repeating failure in Akruto Sync program, and response from Tech Support ceased Sep 5. Please see email trail below, as this is quite concerning and impacting us severely. We have sent screenshots and supporting information – where is your support

    Akruto Support,

Once again, we have another truncated contact. Wondering why this is happening, how to recover the formerly present Notes for the Contact, and how to prevent this from recurring.
We see in the Synchronization history when this occurred, in this case 08/24/24 5:21 PM, ID #2643 for Whittaker, Wendy
When trying to “save this version” the only file type allowed is “ .msg ” which is unusable. How to get it to show in a usable text format?
We have not seen a response to previous requests on this matter, so still have to recover those.
Will appreciate ti9mely response; am available at 760-500-9090

    Akruto Support,

Once again, a key Contact has been truncated in the synchronization process, most frustrating. Entry ID 3926 for contact “Cicalese, Louis” shows before and after truncation, dated 10/2/2024
Will appreciate a non-boilerplate response. Installed Version is 5.3.25 (and check for updates automatically box is checked)
When attempting to save full version from the sync earlier this month, the file type is limited to “msg” format, which is unusable.
    1) As requested earlier (see below), how to prevent such Truncation
    2) How to save version in a usable format, such as Microsoft Word or similar

    Raphael,

Followed your recommendations, did download/install/restart, AkrutoSync version now shows as 5.3.25; have restarted phone, and noted both have same Wi-Fi connection.
The subject Contact Appears as it did before. What’s next?
Should we expect the Truncation will no longer occur in future?

    Hello David,

That is odd that the notes are being truncated. Please download and install the latest version of AkrutoSync here: https://www.akruto.com/files/download/
Simply run the installer and finish the process. You don’t need to uninstall the current version installed on your computer. Reboot your computer and phone after and make sure that both are connected to the same network/router.
Check if the contact notes will still be truncated after.
Let us know how it goes.

    Raphael,

Yes, when attempting to “Save This Version” the truncated Notes showing on the right side pane is what appears – last character is “1”
When scrolling down to bottom of the data screen, the left side of the panel shows in full. Having done so, after the full Contact Notes data left side is seen, we see the bottom line reads “Notes Format Rich Text Format (RTF) Text” and we no longer see the option “Save this version”. Having done this, scrolled back to top of the screen, chose to “Save this version”. The result is attached to this email. Likely showing only truncated version which appears on right side of the panel.
Bottom Line Question remains: how can we recover the full text version of these Notes (left side of the panel), to copy and paste over the truncated version, and then avoid future truncations.

    Hello David,

For clarification, the note from the contact shows up truncated when you click “Save this version” and it directly stopped to what the right pane is only showing and not the complete note?
If you were able to scroll it down, try to scroll it down to extend the view from the right pane and click “Save this version” again to see if the note is truncated.
    Looking forward to your response.

How best to download the desired version of the subject Contact’s Notes (before it was truncated).
How to keep Contact Notes files from being truncated – this has happened before.

The desired version shows on the LEFT side of the attached screenshot. When choosing to “Save this Version” we do not get the desired left side, only the truncated right side.
When holding the mouse pointer over what is desired, we see the top portion of the desired data. How can we recapture this information, to copy and paste in to the Notes section of this Contact’s record.

    Hello David,

Is it possible for you to send us the file downloaded from AkrutoSync’s history so we can check it and work for a solution?
You can try to attach the file in your reply to this email.
    Looking forward to your response.

    Raphael,

Thanks for your comment; problem is, file saves in msg format, and does not appear to be accessible via WORD
    Please see attachments;
ID 2585 Cicalese, Louis is desired line item, and desired text does appear when pointing mouse at certain times, though not able to copy text in a beneficial way to recover the missing Notes data

    Hello David,

    Thank you for the email.
After saving the version, you can try to open the word format and copy the text and edit the contact in Outlook to update the data or restore it to its previous version.

    Contact Form entry received

    Name: David Jacobs
    Email: jacobs2055@yahoo.com
    Phone type:
    Sync type: Wi-Fi
    Comments:

am trying to restore Notes from a Contact which was changed unintentionally.
I located a previous version which is accurate and click “save this version”, it is saved to “msg” format which is not apparently usable. Is there a way to save it in Notepad or WORD format so that I may correct what currently shows as Notes for this Contact? When I hold mouse pointer over the Notes text, it appears on the display, though do not see how to copy this desired data

see above – found another truncated Contact Note Section today – and still no proactive response from Tech Support, other than a notice eight days ago “I have forwarded the log file to our development team. We will get back to you once we have an update.” with no further response since then. After years of prompt technical support, recent months have been a disaster; wondering why Akruto Customer Support is no longer a priority
