GuestI recently updated my Win 10 installation to version 1903 and use Office 365 outlook for my calendar. Akruto now gives me the message ‘Sync is currently experiencing problems. It will be back shortly’. No matter how long I wait, it doesn’t sync.
I have tried forcing a sync from the phone Sony Xperia Z3 (same phone has always worked in the past) but get the same message. I re-configured Akruto and set up another exchange account on my phone but still get the above message.
Is there anywhere else I can check for problems?
Using 5.2.40 (64bit) Akruto

This issue that you are experiencing is coming from the latest Gmail update on your phone. We assume that you are using “M Exchange” (Red envelope logo) for the AkrutoSync Exchange account on your phone. This type of Exchange account is Gmail Exchange.
Disclaimer: Even if the AkrutoSync Exchange account is created through Gmail Exchange, AkrutoSync will never sync your data to Google servers/cloud. The sync is configured directly from the Outlook to your phone and vice versa which is the main purpose of AkrutoSync.
Kindly send an email to support@akruto.com and provide a current screenshot of the AkrutoSync window on your computer. This will greatly help us troubleshoot the issue that you are experiencing.

Thanks for your reply. You are correct, I am using the M Exchange account. If the problem is with Gmail, is there another way of setting up an account?
As requested, I have emailed you a screenshot of Akruto on my PC. I have also attached the Akruto Data file to see of that’s any help.

On your phone, please go to Settings > Accounts > Add Account and check if “Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync” or “Corporate” is available as an option. These types of Exchange account will work well with AkrutoSync.

GuestI recently started experiencing the same problem. I get the message “Sync is currently experiencing problems. It will be back shortly”, but it hasn’t fixed itself.
I also checked for those account types (Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync/Corporate), but do not have those options. I set it up originally with M Exchange, which worked fine until a few days ago.
I have Windows 10/Outlook 2016 on my computer and am using a Moto X4 Android phone.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

GuestI have Exchange ActiveSync for HTC Sense which I presume will work. However, if I try to look at my existing Exchange settings to replicate them it …. bounces back to the accounts page so I can’t see them. Equally, any attempt to get setup information from the PC based app brings dire warnings.
Can you point us to a generic help screen that remind us how to set up a Sync account on the phone.

I don’t have yhe option “Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync” or “Corporate”. Only “Exchange”.

I have upgrade from a Xiaomi mimxax2 to a mimax3 as well as from a Microsoft surface pro3 to a surface pro 4 and I am experiencing the same problem as the writers further up. I am receiving the message <<Syn is currently experiencing problems>> and Akruto is not recovering. Unfortunately akruto has deleted all contacts from my mobile and I am not able to transfer them from my pc. Please advice as soon as possible.

GuestI had exactly the same problem.
I solved it by going back to an older Gmail version on my phone.
Today I saw that there exists a newer version of the AkrutoSync desktop software (version 5.2.41).
Could it be that the problem is solved with the new version?

Yes. This version should fix the problem for this particular issue. If you continue to encounter the problem after reconfiguring AkrutoSync using this version, please send an email to support@akruto.com for further troubleshooting.
