Tasks (Gmail) are updated even when only viewed

I am feeling very frustrated that I can’t get a response from Akruto support. I am duplicating my recent post out of that frustration.

I have emailed regularly over the past couple of months and repeated requests for a response via this forum.

I have asked for details of the flag / data item of a task from the Gmail app which Akruto uses to determine whether the task should be synced. I find that only viewing a task causes it to sync which is wrong.

Once I have this information I anticipate discovering whether Akruto needs a fix or whether it’s Gmail Tasks. my inclination is to suspect GT but that depends on your answer.
