    Am advsied of the update which I download but it will not install, the program keeps wanting to reboot.
    Any assistance with this installation please ?

    Hi Carolyn

    Please quit AkrutoSync on your computer then download and install this version: https://www.akruto.com/files/download/

    You don’t need to uninstall the current version in your computer.

    I have the same problem as Carolyn, and have tried the suggestion in your reply to her, but still get the same error message.

    I am currently running version 5.2.33 (32-bit) on Windows 10 with all current updates

    Just tried the update again – same result! Any thoughts yet on what the problem might be? Meanwhile the previous version continues to work . . . .

    I thought that maybe the existence of version 5.2.37 and/or the upgrade to Version 1809 of Windows 10 might cure this problem, but no, I still can’t upgrade!

    Please help!

    Hello Keith,

    Follow the instructions below:

    1. Please open AkrutoSync and click “Open Data Directory”.

    2. In the folder that will appear, look for reboot-pending.txt

    3. Delete reboot-pending.txt in that folder. Make sure that AkrutoSync is not running before you delete the file. Right click AkrutoSync icon on the system tray (near the clock) and select “Quit AkrutoSync”.

    4. Run the installer for 5.2.37 again and check if you are able to update AkrutoSync.

    Pleased to report that this action has allowed me to update to version 5.2.37. It has also cured another problem I have experienced in the last few days where syncs were reporting ‘failed’ – I think since the upgrade to Windows 10, Version 1809. Anyway, all well at the moment, thank you!
