When will this be fixed when using Windows 11 Pro and Microsoft 365?

When I purchased my license I was told this worked, then after spending weeks back & forth with support I was told “…we are working on it and it won’t take long.”. Weeks went by with no updates or answers to my inquiries and then finally in April/May 2022 I got an answer that Akruto was working on it still. End of communications.

Not at all impressed with the zero support that many on these forums have talked about. Live chat has never worked for me and over 50% of emails to support are never answered, sort of like these support forums never getting answers.

Do you have the two PC sync back working yet?

Hi John, we haven’t tested it yet however it was still not working when we tested it last time.

    John
Its been over a year since it stopped working. I am still paying for it and it appears that Akruto is not able to fix what I bought. Does that sound right?

    John
I have an iPhone, a desktop and a laptop and my previous emails from Akruto has constantly said that you were working on it, but when you said “…last time we tested…” doesnt give me any hope that it is actually a work in progress.

I believe everyone here having issues with Windows 11 is correct. AKRUTOSYNC DOES NOT WORK WITH WINDOWS11 – and you get ZERO support for your subscription money.

I have opened loads of cases and IM chats for over a year now, and only ever get the exact same useless dude “Raphael Gonzales” who has no idea what he’s doing and does not give a damn.

Raphael will only ever give you more lame 101 troubleshooting tasks, that you already know does not fix it, just so you go away and let him get back to doing F-ALL about this well-known problem!

*** AkrutoSync claiming compatibility with Win11 is a scamming fraud! ***

Wow. I literally could have written this entire thread. After spending hours and hours trying to get this to work – including doing things that they requested knowing that it wouldn’t resolve the issue and just stumbled onto this to find I am not alone. I was told (probably a month ago) that there would be an fix but nothing…

I should mention that I am running Windows 10 Pro – cannot update to Win 11, so I think there’s an issue with an update. My sync stopped on about September 13, 2022

    Hi Had-A-GutFull,

AkrutoSync works with Windows 11 as we have multiple clients that could sync between their Outlook PC and mobile devices using this operating system.

However, PC-to-PC sync is not yet compatible as Microsoft did not allow 3rd party servers to connect and modify the Exchange ActiveSync account. We continue to monitor this so we can get this to work as this type of sync is not advertised by Akruto however we continue to answer inquiries regarding this type of sync as clients using older versions of Windows were able to make this work.

    Thank you.

I had the same problem after windows 11 installed itself on my computer, but solved it by:
    1) deleting the exchange account on the phone (Android)
    2) reinstalling the exchange account

    Hello Michael,

Thank you for the information that you shared.

The latest version of AkrutoSync works on Windows 11 and Android/iOS syncing. As an additional information and as per our testing, the PC to PC syncing should now be working as well with the latest version.

In case you encounter problems with the syncing, please feel free to contact us at support@akruto.com.

    Brian Tan,

Contrary to your statement that you do not advertise PC to PC sync, when I did start it WAS ADVERTISED and hence I started PAYING for a subscription so that I could sync my Desktop, Laptop, iPhone and iPad. Now I can only get one PC to have all my Calendar appointments and Notes.

For many years I have been promised this was being worked on and continued my subscription on that basis.

Can Akruto be used to sync Desktop to iPhone to iPad…yes it can. Can Akruto then be installed on the Laptop to sync to the iPad that is also in sync with the desktop? This would be a poor man’s way of getting around Akruto’s inability to get the PC to PC working IF it works.

    Please advise.

    Hi All.
I can share my positive experience with Akruto Sync.

Iinitially I was using thru years PC with Windows XP/10 as Akruto servers and Windows CE, later Windows Phone and now Android phones as Akruto clients.
On December my wish was to create Windows 10’s PC Akruto client, to have synchronized Microsoft 365 Outlook. It was impossible to set it correctly on Akruto version 5.2.55, which I was using, but Akruto helpdesk solved via email the situation in 2 days.
    The mandatory recommendations were:
    1) to update Akruto to 5.3.20 version (so, the current one),
    2) to create new account on PC from Control Panel / Mail, as Exchange ActiveSync type (the similar “Add account” window, opened directly from Outlook, doesn’t show fully manual setup, to choose Exchange ActiveSync type consciously.

To continue my adventure, at the end of December I updated Windows 10 -> 11 on my Akruto server. As a result PC Win 10 Akruto client/Outlook 365 was working ok, but Android clients stopped syncing. The upgrade of accounts on Gmail on phones (Android 10 and Android 12) was not possible – I had to recreate Akruto account on both phones to restore Android syncing.

Today, after reading this thread, I started to experiment with another PC, this time with Windows 11, to have another PC Akruto client. It was fully possible to do it (Akruto v5.3.21), what important: from Control Panel / Mail, as Exchange ActiveSync type.

So I have now Win 11 Outlook 365 Akruto server, Win 10 and Win 11 Outlook 365 Akruto clients (2 different PC’s) and 2 Android (10 and 12) Akruto clients.
It is doable PC to PC – I am the working case 😀

    Regards,
    kk

    kakrupa,

Can you lay out your setup and how you managed to get it working? Everytime I tried to add the certificate to my Windows 11 Pro system it failed and that caused the failure. My desktop was Window s10 Pro and the Laptop (second system) was running Windows 10. When I upgraded the systems to Windows 11 Pro it broke the connection between the two Windows 11 systems.

Akrutosync said they were working to get a workaround for the certificate failure 18+ months ago, but they haven’t been actively working on it for quite some time.

Here is Akruto’s instructions to add a second computer instead of a Apple/Android device:
    =============================================

    Thank you for choosing AkrutoSync.
It is possible to install AkrutoSync on computer A, and set up computer B to sync with it.
Computer A or the main computer must have a full version of Windows, As long as it is not running Windows RT. Computer A can have any version of Outlook installed with the combination of AkrutoSync.
Computer B must have Outlook 2013/2016. It is OK if computer B has Windows RT (although it can also have a full version of Windows).
For Computer A. When setting up sync in Akruto, select the “Windows Phone” option. When Akruto asks you to open a website, Go to Computer B and use Internet Explorer, do not use any other browser. Windows will ask you whether to choose a certificate store automatically or let you choose the certificate store manually. You need to manually choose the certificate store called “Trusted Root Certificate Authorities”.
Then open Outlook 2013/2016 settings and create the manual account. Choose Exchange AcriveSync (usually written as Outlook.com or Exchange ActiveSync in Outlook 2013/2016. Enter the fake email address displayed in AkrutoSync window and the password, just like you would do with any phone or tablet.
Outlook 2013/2016 will act just like any physical phone or tablet.
If you are having problems with the setup process, please send an email to support@akruto.com so we can guide you through the process.

    Raphael,

Does your instructions work with the following setup? Secondly I am unsure where the “enter the fake email address displayed in AkrutoSync window and the password” screen is located. When I add PC B via running configure again, I haven’t seen a “fake” email/password. I am using the “Sync over home network”, “Windows phone”, “sync using my IP address”. Do you mean the original setup account email/password from the original install?

PC A* – Windows 11 Pro desktop with Office 365 (main system with Akrutosync)
PC B – Windows 11 Pro laptop with Office 365 (secondary system)
iPhone 13* – standard setup using Apple mail
    iPad 11* Gen 3 – standard setup

    * indicates working systems with Akrutosync
PC B worked until the upgrade to Windows 11 Pro

    Hello Wilson,

The email address will be displayed once you reached the final step of the setup on computer A. When creating the Exchange account on your Windows 11 computer (computer B), please go to Control Panel > Mail to create the Exchange account.

If you still experience any issue with the setup, please send us a screenshot of AkrutoSync window via email to support@akruto.com so we can check and give you the detailed instruction to follow from there.

I have a HP Pavilion laptop with Windows 11. I have Microsoft 365 and use the Outlook app (Calendars and Contacts only) and make all entries in these apps on my laptop.

I have the calendar and contacts apps on my iPhone and was able to sync the computer entries to my iPhone 13 Pro Max via iCloud until recently. I recently acquired a new PC with Windows 11 and have been unable to sync.

I have read that AkrutoSync does not work on Windows 11 PCs for Microsoft 365, but this inability seems to be only applicable on PC to PC transfers. Since I am only syncing my laptop to my iPhone, can you confirm whether I will have a problem using AkrutoSync for this function?

    Thanks.

    Hello John,

AkrutoSync works for Windows 11 computer and Outlook 365 for syncing to iOS, Android, and Windows computer/phone. As long as you are using the desktop version of Outlook, it will work with AkrutoSync.

PC to PC syncing also now works with AkrutoSync on Windows 11.

You can start your trial here https://www.akruto.com/free-trial/

Please note that the initial sync will be from Outlook to Phone. Anything added to the phone after the initial sync will sync back to Outlook. Any data on the phone before the initial sync will stay on the phone. With this said, your Outlook must have all the latest information that you want to sync to your phone before you start with the set up process.

If your phone has all of your Outlook contacts, calendars then you can export them and then import them to Outlook before clearing your phone of this data. One of the steps in the configuration was to clear the phone of data. The reason this step is there is primarily to prevent duplicates but also because AkrutoSync cannot sync your existing data from the phone to Outlook. This is because the existing data on the phone is saved under a different account like Google or iCloud for example. Data cannot jump from one account to the other. You would have to export those contacts out of the phone and remove them from the phone. Then import the contacts into Outlook and AkrutoSync will sync them with your phone but now they will be saved under the Exchange account that was created for AkrutoSync. This will ensure the two way synchronization.

Here is a link that may help with exporting data http://www.akruto.com/backup-phone-contacts-calendar/

Once you have the existing contacts imported in Outlook then you can start to configure AkrutoSync so the information from Outlook will then sync back to your phone. After the initial sync, anything added, edited, deleted from your phone will now sync to Outlook and vice versa.

If you encounter any problems with the processes mentioned above, please do not hesitate to let us know and we will be glad to assist you.
