Categories are very useful in Outlook, and can be used to group Notes and Tasks. On the iPhone, the standard app Notes is using Folders to group the notes, and the standard app Reminders is using Lists to group the reminders. It seems very useful if the Outlook Categories could be synced over as Folders in Notes, and as Lists in Reminders. But I have not seen antyhing about this on the AkrutoSync web pages. Is this possible to do?

    Hi Hans,

For AkrutoSync, Categories only work for contacts in an Android or a Windows mobile phone not in an iPhone.

It would be really handy if note categories were used to create notes groups in iOS

    Hi PJ,

IOS does not offer that feature in their Notes.

AkrutoSync works quite well, but does not transfer Outlook colored categories to my Samsung phone. Does AkrutoSync not work with categories?

    Hi Benjamin,

AkrutoSync does sync categories. What the phone does with categories depends on the phone. For contacts, Android phones map Outlook categories to Android contact groups. For calendar and tasks, Android ignores categories altogether. This is part of Android OS and unfortunately, we cannot change it.
