GuestI upgraded to a new iPhone recently. AkrutoSync window now shows that Tasks are continuously sync’ing once the sync starts. … Started, Finished, Started, Finished, … times update continuously and my Received Tasks counts have gone as high as 35,000 before I quit AkrutoSync or unselect Tasks to sync. I have only ~150 Tasks in Outlook/phone. Any update to a task in Outlook gets over-written. I am syncing over WiFi between Win10/Outlook2010 and iPhone Xr.

GuestI have had this same issue. It seemed to start behaving itself after I disabled syncing of tasks/reminders, deleted all tasks in outlook (They were all completed anyway), and then re-enabled syncing.
The stopped the repeated syncing over an over again.
There definitely still seems to be an issue though syncing changes though to existing tasks.ModeratorHello Clay and Ray,
We sincerely apologize that you are experiencing this problem.
In order to help you better, could you please provide us some information regarding the nature of the problem by answering the questions below?
– What is the iOS version running on your device?
– If your device is running on iOS 13, did this issue already occurring before the latest iOS update? For further troubleshooting, kindly take a screenshot of the main window of AkrutoSync and the “Select what to Sync” panel then send it via email to support@akruto.com
We are looking forward to your response.

GuestI was running iOS 13.0 when this occurred.
It did not occur previously
I’m guessing the upgrade to iOS 13.0 and the changes they made to Reminders may have been the problem.
It seems to be fixed now after I turned off syncing of tasks on both iPhone and in Akruto, cleared all the tasks from both devices, and then re-enabled syncing of the tasks.ModeratorHi Ray,
Thank you for the update. We are glad that the issue has been resolved. Please feel free to email us again if you require further assistance. Have a great day!

Guest@Ray – Thanks for your steps. I’ve done them and the constant sync’ing appears to have stop. I now have just 2 sync’d tasks; one I created in Outlook & one I created on my iPhone. Unfortunately, when I update an Outlook Task, Akruto sync over-writes the changes with the outdated Reminder from the iPhone. Are your results different?
@Support – my new iPhone came with iOS 13.0ModeratorHello Clay,

GuestI am having the same problem since upgrading to iOS 13. Tasks on my phone overwrite outlook and any new tasks or changes in outlook are overwritten or removed when I sync. What should I do?
ModeratorHi Amardeep,
There was an issue with iOS tasks however it was fixed with the latest iOS 13.2. If you have the option to upgrade to the latest version please proceed.
Once done, let us know so we can guide you with the next step.

GuestHi there,
I have very similar issue – using Windows 10 (latest updates), Outlook 2010 (latest updates) and iPhone 6s (latest updates, 13.3). Akruto is at 5.2.42
Symptoms – after modifying one task on iPhone, when I returned home Akruto seemed to go a bit crazy with ‘receiving’ Tasks i.e. there are only 217 tasks in Outlook, but in the last hour or so Akruto states ‘9382 received’.
This is sort of affecting Outlook performance, as when I go to do other stuff in Outlook, the cursor changes to a distracting ‘wait’ indicator (spinning thing).
The only solution seems to be to fully close Akruto – but of course when I next start Akruto to sync other stuff, the situation restarts…
Any ideas? – my amateur diagnosis is that when a change is made on the iPhone tasks, somehow Akruto gets confused and assumes that there are endless tasks to be updated…Thanks
p.s. CompanionLink has the option to switch from Auto to Manual sync, which in some ways I prefer as it gives a bit more control. Sure you might forget to sync before leaving your PC, but on the other hand it removes the need for the program to continually ‘poke’ Outlook and anything else.

Guestp.s. anytime I go to post in this forum (Firefox) I get an error msg ‘Are you sure you want to do that’ and then have to type and submit again.
ModeratorHello Jayjj,
We apologize for the inconvenience.
We suggest doing a reconfiguration for your iPhone 6 and check if this will fix the issue.
To do this:
Remove the Exchange account on the phone. When you remove the account from the phone, it will remove all contacts, calendar, tasks and notes that were once synced but before you do, please make sure that Outlook has the latest data.. (Contacts, Calendars, Tasks and Notes)
After you do this, in AkrutoSync click configure AkrutoSync and then select configure again. You may ignore the warning about wiping the phone. Be sure to select the folders that contain the data which you want to sync. Also, let the first sync finish all the way before you create any test entries.
Let us know how this second set up goes. This should restore your sync.
Regarding your Firefox, you can try to clear the cache of your browser.
I hope this helps.

GuestThe issue of Amardeep described in reply #27278 is still present / unsolved.
This error is an absolute show stopper – is there a working solution for that (“Tasks on my phone overwrite outlook and any new tasks or changes in outlook are overwritten or removed when I sync.”)?
Kind regards,
ChrisModeratorHello Chris,
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.
This issue with the Tasks syncing on iOS devices is caused by the iOS 13 update. The syncing mechanism and the Reminders app on iOS devices has been significantly changed. To resolve this issue, please ensure that the iOS version on your device is updated to the latest version. The latest version of iOS 13 have bug fixes that can resolve this issue. After verifying that your phone is on the latest iOS update, you will need to reconfigure AkrutoSync.
To do this:
Remove the Exchange account on the phone first. When you remove the account from the phone, it will remove all contacts, calendar, tasks and notes that were once synced but before you do, please make sure that Outlook has the latest data. (Contacts, Calendars, Tasks and Notes)
After you do this, in AkrutoSync click configure AkrutoSync and then select configure again. You may ignore the warning about wiping the phone. Be sure to select the folders that contain the data which you want to sync. Also, let the first sync finish all the way before you create any test appointments.
If this still doesn’t help, kindly send a ticket at support@akruto.com for further troubleshooting.
Regards,
Raphael Gonzales
