    I went to back up my accounts today and there was a “new” account on my list – SIM Card. So I checked it along with the other three that are always on my list (exchange acct, primary.sim acct, and vnd.sec.contact.phone acct)and went to back up. I got the message “Unable to back up contacts. Unknown error”. I unchecked the SIM Card and did the usual backup with no problems. My phone is now off contract so maybe that’s why this SIM card showed up on my list? So how do I include this new account in my Akruto backup?

    Hi Lynn,

    Thank you for the details below. SIM card contacts can be manually transferred from the phone to the computer using the native tools of the phone. It will be better that you contact Samsung and/or your phone provider on how to transfer them.

    Also, there is an option to transfer from SIM to phone for those contacts – you refer to the phone’s manual on how it is done. Once these contacts are transferred to the phone, you can use https://www.akruto.com/backup-phone-contacts-calendar/android-contacts/ as a guide on how to import it to Outlook on your computer.
