7 Valuable Tools Real Estate Agents May Be Missing Out On
We often hear stories from real estate agents or IT consultants about how they discover software they don’t know what they’d do without. To help realtors be more productive, we share some of the tech tools and software that can save them minutes to hours of work.
With these tools, real estate agents will be able to spend more time with clients in their quest to find their dream home or to sell their home to someone who will take good care of it. Most of these tools work for people in other professions including healthcare providers, financial advisors, attorneys and small business owners.

We skip the obvious apps like Topproducer for CRM, Zillow and basic software everyone uses like Microsoft Office. Here are seven tech tools for real estate agents that they will wonder how they ever got on without these.
Akruto: Sync Outlook with phone
[Software] Many real estate agents rely on Microsoft Outlook for PC. Considering agents spend much of their time on the road, they tend to re-enter Outlook calendar and contacts into their mobile devices. They’re surprised when they learn that they can sync Outlook calendar with phone.
Not only do realtors save a ton of time with Outlook sync software like Akruto, but also they have their updated information with them everywhere they go. Akruto moves calendar, contacts, tasks and notes to a phone and other compatible devices. The Windows PC software automatically and privately transfers your Outlook data between your computer and compatible devices. If you have other devices, — iPhone, iPad, Windows Phone, Surface and Android phones and tablets — you’ll be able to sync those too for no extra charge.
Canva: Create stunning designs
[Web-based app] Some real estate agents create blog graphics, presentations, Facebook covers, flyers, posters, invitations and social media visuals to enhance their content. Canva simplifies the process with search and drag functionality.
It doesn’t cost anything to use Canva when you upload your own images. The service offers many free illustrations and images as well as professional images for $1 each. Users can design with a paid image to see how it would look. They don’t have to pay until they’ve finished the design and are ready to download it.
Contactually: Maximize your network
[Web-based app] Successful real estate agents have many contacts in their address books. While the address book is invaluable, it doesn’t simplify the process of managing relationships. Enter Contactually, a CRM tool that works with mobile devices to help realtors follow up with the right people at the right time.
Contractually works seamlessly with popular services and software such as Outlook PC, Google Contacts and Calendar, MailChimp, Placester and LinkedIn. The dashboard lists all of the daily follow-up reminders and actions needed. It has built-in email templates help real estate agents with email marketing, tools for sharing useful articles and Pipelines tool for visualizing deals. A 30-day trial is available to try it. The service has three pricing plans.

In helping buyers manage their biggest financial asset, real estate agents build and maintain long-term relationships with clients who may need their services again or provide referrals. Pricing is on a per property basis with a renewal fee.
PDFfilling: Fill and sign PDF forms on the go
[Web-based app] Enter the URL of a document or upload a PDF, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint or Notepad document. Once done, agents can use the app’s typewriter to fill the form and use signature manager to officially sign it.
Some PDF forms come with fillable fields and others don’t. PDFfiller works with both. Pages can be reordered. All of this is done online so users can search and access their forms from anywhere and on any connected device. Other features include faxing, annotating, emailing and exporting. A 30-day trial is available. Pricing depends on the plan and frequency of payment.
TinyScan: Turn smartphone into a portable scanner
[Mobile app] Real estate agents use TinyScan to scan and save contracts wherever they are. Scanning and converting documents into digitized files simplifies the contracts process. Unlike paper contracts, they’ll be able to search for these files. Snap a photo of the contract or other document and TinyScan saves it as an Adobe Acrobat PDF file.
After scanning, users can enhance it by adjusting brightness and contrast. It works with different page sizes including A4, B5 and letter. The app allows you to re-order the pages in a single document, protect it with a password and email it. TinyScan is available for iPhones, BlackBerry, Windows Phone and Android phones.
