    Hi L.R. Jackson,

Since the data on your phone is synced to iCloud, you can refer to our guides on how to export your existing data from iCloud into Outlook.

To export your contacts from iCloud as a CSV file which you can import into Outlook:
    https://www.akruto.com/backup-phone-contacts-calendar/icloud-contacts-to-outlook/

To export your calendar from iCloud as an iCal file:
    https://www.akruto.com/backup-phone-contacts-calendar/export-icloud-calendar-as-ical/
To import the iCal calendar file from iCloud into Outlook:
    https://www.akruto.com/backup-phone-contacts-calendar/import-ical-ics-calendar-into-outlook-2013/

Once everything is in Outlook, first, install AkrutoSync on your PC. You can download the latest version from this link: https://www.akruto.com/get-akruto-sync/

Once it is installed, click on Configure AkrutoSync, select the sync method that you want, and follow on-screen instructions to proceed with configuration.

For iOS devices, we would recommend configuring sync over internet.

Please feel free to contact us if you need any asistance.

    Hi Alexsandra,

Thank you for your interest in AkrutoSync. AkrutoSync will sync your contacts, calendars, tasks and notes between Outlook on your PC and your devices. The normal setup is AkrutoSync is installed on a computer where Outlook is running, and then multiple “devices” can be configured to connect to this one computer. The “device” can be a phone or a tablet. You can sync with as many supported devices (Android, Windows Phone, iOS (iPhone/iPad/iPod touch)) as you want.

AkrutoSync works in that everything that you have in Outlook will be copied to the phone on the first sync. When you set up your first sync, the data from Outlook will sync to the phone and now will be locked in the AkrutoSync account which will allow you to edit them on the phone or in Outlook. Nothing that already exists on the phone will sync back to Outlook on the first sync.

Yes, new contacts that you add on the phone will sync to Outlook (and vice versa) through AkrutoSync. Changes that you make to items that have synced to the phone and new items that you have added on the phone after configuring AkrutoSync will sync to Outlook. This is the same for changes and new items that you add/make in Outlook on the PC. v

You can try out the software by downloading the 7-day free trial here: https://www.akruto.com/get-akruto-sync/

Please feel free to contact us if you need any assistance.

    Hi Aleksander,

Thank you for your interest in AkrutoSync. We’re glad to know that you are happily syncing your Outlook contacts and calendar through AkrutoSync to your Samsung Galaxy S7.

For notes, Samsung has a notes app with a lot of features, but unfortunately, it does not sync with Exchange. Which is why to sync notes, you will need to install an app on your phone that supports Notes sync through Exchange. We have a list of apps for that purpose here: https://www.akruto.com/synchronize-outlook-apps/

For Android, we usually recommend Tasks and Notes for MS Exchange, which is also on the list linked above.

Let us know how this works for you. Please feel free to contact us if you need any assistance.

    Hi L.R. Jackson,

Thank you for your interest in AkrutoSync. I’m sorry about the issue PC issue you encountered.

What you can do is to first sync your data on the phone to iTunes. Most of the time, this is turned on by default. If your data is not yet synced to iCloud, turn on Contacts and Calendar sync in iCloud and update your device: Tap Settings > iCloud on your iPhone, and enable Contacts and Calendar sync.

Are your contacts and calendar already synced to iCloud?

    Hi Hilbert,

Thank you for choosing AkrutoSync. Here are the answers to your questions:

Will AkrutoSync be able to export my contacts and calendar in Outlook to my phone?

Yes, AkrutoSync works in that everything that you have in Outlook will be copied to the phone on the first sync. When you set up your first sync, the data from Outlook will sync to the phone and now will be locked in the AkrutoSync account which will allow you to edit them on the phone or in Outlook. Nothing that already exists on the phone will sync back to Outlook on the first sync.

Will I be able to make changes to the data that has synced to my phone so that it reflects in Outlook as well?

Yes, any changes/additions/deletions to your phone contacts/calendar/tasks/notes to the data stored in the Akruto Exchange account on the phone will be synced backed to Outlook, and vice versa.

You do not need to install any app on the phone to sync your contacts and calendar data from Outlook to your Windows Phone because AkrutoSync synchronizes your data from Outlook to the phone through a protocol that allows the data to appear in your phone’s native apps. The data will appear in your phone’s native contacts and calendar app.

We understand the need for privacy and the need to avoid the cloud. This is also one of the reasons why AkrutoSync is cloudless, and syncs directly to your devices. AkrutoSync syncs the data (contacts, calendar, tasks and notes) between Outlook and your devices directly either through your local WiFi network, or through the internet, without the use of any cloud service and without being stored in external servers.

    Hi Jeremy,

Thank you for choosing AkrutoSync!

To add another device to sync with AkrutoSync, you will need to know the username and password that you have set when you first configured AkrutoSync. Please use the same username and password that you have used before so that you will not have to change any settings on the phone that has already been configured for AkrutoSync.

The user name is displayed in the AkrutoSync window, right before the “@” symbol within the email.
If you do not remember the password, click Configure AkrutoSync and select the Change password option.

Once you know the username and password, click Configure AkrutoSync and select the Configure again option. Ignore the warning about hard-resetting your device (because you are not adding the same device again). Follow on-screen instructions to add your new device. When asked to create a user name and a password, specify the same username and password that you noted above.

Once the account is added on the phone, Akruto should start sending your Outlook data to the device.

Do the same steps for adding another device. Please add one device at a time, and make sure that the first sync is completed before adding another device.

    Hi Darren,

Thank you for choosing AkrutoSync. I’m sorry about the issue you are having. AkrutoSync synchronizes automatically for intervals of 15-35 minutes. If AkrutoSync is open and the phone is still connected to the same WiFi network (if you are configured to sync over home network) or to the internet (if configured to sync over internet) as the computer, then the sync will eventually push the changes.

As a workaround, please try to set a specific sync schedule on your iPhone. To set a scheduled sync on your iPhone:

    1. From the Home screen, tap Settings -> Mail, Contacts, Calendar
    2. Tap Fetch New Data.
    3. Tap the Push switch to turn Off. Note: Push is turned on when the switch is in the green position.
    4. Select the Akruto account.
    5. Select the schedule option then tap Back (located in the upper-left). Note: The schedule option is selected when a check mark is present.
    6. Select the Fetch setting and choose from the options: Every 15 Minutes, Every 30 Minutes, Hourly, Manually (When you open the calendar/contact app)
