How to Configure Avast Internet Security 2014 Firewall

The instructions below show how to configure Avast Internet Security 2014 to unblock AkrutoSync, but can be used to unblock any program that you need to unblock. Click on any screenshot to see a larger version of the screenshot.

1) Open your Avast Internet Security software. Click the icon showing a wrench and a screwdriver

2) Click “Firewall”

3) Click the “Application rules” link at the bottom of the Avast Internet Security window.

4) Click “New Group”

5) Name the new group “AKRUTO”

6) Click “New application rule” and select the newly created group from the list

7) Select Akruto Sync (or any program that you would like to unblock) and click “Open”

8) Use the orange scale bar to adjust the rule so that the rule reads “Allow connections to all networks”. This security setting is necessary because Akruto Sync accepts incoming network connections.

9) Close Avast Internet Security window.
