    Hi Riskmaker,

Could you please repost your forum topic via email to [email protected]

To better assist you, we need to verify the following:
    1. Your sync setup, is it (1) Sync over home network/Wi-Fi or (2) Sync over the Internet?

    2. The latest screenshot of AkrutoSync’s current screen from your computer

    3. Are you using Outlook 2003/2007/2010/2013/2016/Office 365 with Outlook 2013/2016 on a Windows XP/Vista/7/8/8.1/10 computer? Is it a desktop or a laptop? Wired directly to the router or connected via Wi-Fi?

If you are not familiar with ‘how to take a screenshot and attaching it to the email’, please use this guide:
    1. Press the “Print Screen” key on your keyboard (also labeled as “Prt Sc” or “PrtScn”). This will capture an image of your entire screen.
Or you can Click on the AkrutoSync window then hold down the Alt button and press Prt Sc. This will take a picture of the “active” window on your screen. An image of the window will be copied to the clipboard. You will not receive any confirmation that the screenshot has been taken.

    2. Paste the screenshot. Once you have made the screenshot, you will need to paste it to an editor. Open Paint from the Accessories section in your Start menu or search Paint in Windows Search. With a new blank canvas open in Paint, press the Ctrl and V buttons together to paste the image onto the canvas. You can also right-click on the canvas and select Paste.

    3. Save the screenshot. Click File, then Save to set the name and file type of the image. You can select the JPG or PNG file type. Select and remember the save location, then click Save.

    4. Attach the screenshot that you saved as a reply to this email.

Alternatively, you can refer to the guide for taking a screenshot here: http://www.wikihow.com/Take-a-Screenshot-in-Microsoft-Windows

    For AkrutoSync version 5.2:
The new version allows the program to be minimized into the Taskbar Notification Area (near the system clock).

Also added a capability to take screenshots right from AkrutoSync to make support’s life easier. To take a screenshot, the small icon in the top left corner of the AkrutoSync window (or press Alt+Space). A menu will open; select “Take screenshot”. You will be offered to select a file name and location for the screenshot file. The default location for the screenshot file is on the desktop and the default file name is AkrutoSync Screenshot.png.

We will wait for your email.

    Hi Henry,

    Thank you for choosing AkrutoSync.

AkrutoSync is having trouble in accessing your Outlook folders.

We need to check and make sure that there is nothing strange in your Outlook configuration.
    1. Do you have multiple copies of Outlook? Perhaps maybe a trial version was installed on your computer that you haven’t been aware of when you first bought it? Please check if you have other installations/versions of Outlook on your computer.

    2. Please OPEN Outlook, and then restart AkrutoSync, and then click “Select What to Sync”. Do you see a list of your Outlook folders?

    3. Please CLOSE Outlook, and then restart AkrutoSync, and then click “Select What to Sync”. Do you see a list of your Outlook folders?

    4. Do you need to enter a password to see your data in Outlook?

    Hi Tim,

    Thank you for choosing AkrutoSync,

If Akruto shows tasks has been synced then this means an app on your phone was able to get these tasks. Most of the time, the native calendar app gets these information. Please try to open your native calendar app and look for “Agenda” or “Tasks”

    Hi Adam,

    Thank you for choosing AkrutoSync.

    Please check the following:

    1. Make sure your phone is not on “Airplane Mode”

    2. Please open settings -> Wi-Fi on your phone and make sure it says “connected”. Not just “on”, but “connected” to the same network of your PC. If your PC or laptop is also using Wi-Fi make sure it is connected to the same Wi-Fi network that your phone is connected to. Also make sure that Mobile Data / Cellular Data is Turned OFF.

    3. If you have a firewall on your computer, it may be preventing the connection. You can try disabling the firewall (as a test only) to see if it is the reason for connection problems. If you are using something other than the Windows Firewall, please make sure Akruto is listed as “allowed”. If this does not work, completely turn off your firewall and force a sync if still does not work please restart your PC and Phone.

We will wait for your response.

in reply to: Sync with Office 365 Outlook

    #9616

    Akruto Support

    Hi Vito,

Thank you for the information below. This is the process of how AkrutoSync works: It is installed on a computer running on Windows XP/Vista/7/8/8.1/10 with Outlook 2003/2007/2010/2013/2016/Office 365 with Outlook 2013 or 2016.

The root source of its data is the PST or OST file of a POP3 or IMAP email account from Outlook. It can sync Calendar, Contacts, Tasks and Notes (it depends which type/s you sync) to Android phones/tablets, Windows mobile phones/tablets, and iOS devices (iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch).

Any entry in your phone for Calendar, Contacts, Tasks and Notes (it depends which type/s you sync) that are not in Outlook on the computer WILL NOT SYNC thru AkrutoSync since the root source is Outlook’s Data file on the computer.

For Calendar and Contacts – you can manually transfer them from the phone to your computer and import it to Outlook on that computer using NON-AkrutoSync tools. Here is the guide: https://www.akruto.com/backup-phone-contacts-calendar/

For Tasks and Notes – we do not have an official guide on how to manually transfer them to Outlook in your computer from the phone. You can check online for other tools that can do that.

Once Outlook on the computer is current (updated and complete) for Calendar, Contacts, Tasks and Notes (it depends which type/s you sync) – that is the time we recommend you delete all entries for Calendar, Contacts, Tasks and Notes (it depends which type/s you sync) on the phone and finish the configuration of AkrutoSync in your computer in order for the initial sync to occur.

Sync from phone to Outlook on your computer via AkrutoSync WILL ONLY OCCUR after the initial sync from Outlook on your computer to your phone. Entries that will sync from the phone ARE new entries (linked with the Exchange account that was added one phone as per AkrutoSync’s configuration wizard OR modified/edited/deleted entries that were originally synced from Outlook on your computer for Calendar, Contacts, Tasks and Notes (it depends on which type/s you sync).

    Hi Jim,

For mobile devices like your S7, in order to sync a Calendar or Contact entry, you must link a new entry with the Microsoft Exchange account or EAS (Exchange ActiveSync). Example, in the Contacts app of your S7 > + or Add Entry > you look for field/it will ask where will the entry be saved to > you select the Exchange account. An entry linked to ‘Phone’ > those are entries never associated with the Exchange account and will never sync from your S7 to Outlook on your computer using AkrutoSync.

    Hi Jerry,

Thank you for contacting Akruto. The root source for the sync is always the Outlook Data File. You need to transfer the Outlook Data File from the original computer to the replacement computer for it contains your entries in Calendar, Contacts, Tasks and Notes (it depends on which type/s you sync). You need to ask assistance from Microsoft on how to do that or check online sources.

    For AkrutoSync:
If you paid the one-time fee of $34.95 or $39.95 USD for that license, that is only good for the first computer that you originally installed AkrutoSync. A transferable license is the one for the PREMIUM (the $2.99 USD/month that can be paid per quarter or per year). Please refer to: https://www.akruto.com/get-akruto-sync/

Here is a possible workaround, go to: https://www.akruto.com/files/upgrade/download
Download, install the latest version of AkrutoSync which is 5.2.25
If it will show that it is a trial version or the trial has expired – activate it using the Registration Code that you receive from Akruto on the day that you paid for the license – if it activates then it is good for the Paid Version. If it does not activate, you need to purchase a new license.

NOTE: the Exchange account in your phone that was linked to AkrutoSync from your older computer WILL NOT WORK on the new computer. Please make sure that you have transferred the data file of Outlook from your computer that contains the Calendar, Contacts, Tasks and Notes (it depends which type/s you sync) to the new computer.

Any data in your phone right now for Calendar, Contacts, Tasks and Notes (it depends which type/s you sync) WILL NOT SYNC thru AkrutoSync.

    Hi D,

AkrutoSync does not function that way. If you have Outlook 2016 and 2013, AkrutoSync will not be able to function for it will detect that 2 Outlook versions and will not determine on its own which to choose.

You need to have only one Outlook version on your computer and it must be current with all of the entries for Calendar, Contacts, Tasks and Notes (it depends on which type/s you sync).

You cannot sync from the iPhone to Outlook only since AkrutoSync does not have that one-way sync control. The workaround is to make sure that if you want to keep only Outlook 2016 then you must transfer the Outlook Data File from the Outlook 2013 to Outlook 2016 – that file contains all of your entries for Calendar, Contacts, Tasks and Notes (it depends on which type/s you sync).

The Exchange account on your iPhone linked to AkrutoSync must be deleted. AkrutoSync needs to be reconfigured from scratch after all of the steps above are done. Initial sync will always be from Outlook on your computer to your iPhone. The only time it will sync from iPhone to Outlook on your computer after the initial sync if it is successful. The next sync from iPhone to Outlook on your computer will only occur if you do not create / delete / edit/modify any entries in Outlook on your computer for Calendar, Contacts, Tasks and Notes (it depends on which type/s you sync).

    Hi Chris,

Thank you for contacting Akruto. It seems that it is another tool that is causing the sync not AkrutoSync.

    Two sync methods for AkrutoSync:
Sync over home network – the computer MUST BE running on Windows XP / Vista / 7/ 8 / 8.1 / 10 and with Outlook 2003 / 2007 / 2010 / 2013 / 2016 / Office 365 with Outlook 2013 or 2016. The computer can be wired or wireless to a router. The mobile device that it is sync to MUST BE an Android phones/tablets OR Windows mobile phones/tablets OR iOS devices (iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch). The mobile device MUST BE CONNECTED via Wi-Fi only to the same router.

NOTE: Sync over home network can be used OFFLINE as long as your computer and phone is connected to a regular or travel router.

Sync over the Internet – same specifications for the computer and mobile devices. BUT for the mobile device, it MUST BE CONNECTED using its CELLULAR/MOBILE DATA and must be 4G, LTE, 4G LTE connection only WITH very strong cellular signal.

You can also use Sync over the Internet in other networks and/or locations if you have a laptop and you know the admin access to the router of that network. Usually, that is not possible for public Wi-Fi networks like in an airport or a hotel.

NOTE: especially for laptop users with Windows OS on the computer, if they travel or connect to multiple locations while they bring the laptop and the phone – they CANNOT use Sync over the Internet in networks that they do not have admin access to the router.

    To download AkrutoSync: https://www.akruto.com/files/upgrade/download
After you install, convert it using the link ‘Convert to Paid Version’ – use your paid license (Registration Code’). Then configure AkrutoSync.

Thank you for using AkrutoSync. The feature that you want is not how AkrutoSync works. In one Outlook account > can sync one folder for Calendar, Contacts, Tasks and Notes (it depends on which type/s you sync) to be synched to one or multiple phone/s and/or mobile tablets (Android phones/tablets, Windows mobile phones/tablets, and iOS devices (iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch)).
