Hi Wyatt,
Is this your phone: Gionee Marathon M5 (http://www.gsmarena.com/gionee_marathon_m5-7259.php)? That is compatible with AkrutoSync. AkrutoSync will synchronize your contacts, calendar, tasks and notes between Outlook and your devices. It works on Android, Windows phones, and iOS devices (iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch). Your Outlook 2016 in your computer is compatible.
There is no standard on how long it takes to sync data from Outlook to the phone (can be minutes).

AkrutoSync will synchronize your contacts, calendar, tasks and notes between Outlook and your devices. It works on Android, Windows phones, and iOS devices (iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch).
For the trial version of AkrutoSync, you can download it from https://www.akruto.com/get-akruto-sync/ (scroll down to the bottom of the page).
Once the initial sync is done, you need to download an Android app named Tasks & Notes for MS Exchange OR TouchDown to view the synced tasks. Refer to https://www.akruto.com/synchronize-outlook-apps/ for the settings.

ModeratorHi Arsa,
The initial sync when you use AkrutoSync is from Outlook in your desktop to your HTC Desire 630 (http://www.gsmarena.com/htc_desire_630-7941.php). The root source is the data file in Outlook that contains Calendar, Contacts, Tasks and Notes (it depends which type/s you sync).
Syncing from phone to Outlook will only occur if the initial sync from Outlook to phone is successful.

in reply to: 1. Is it possible to sync my Outlook “To-Do” list with LG G5?
ModeratorHi ZzZzZz,
The root source of data is Outlook on your computer. For Tasks – it has to be the ones listed under My Tasks. One way to check, on AkrutoSync in your computer, click on ‘Select what to sync’ – check if your To-Do List entries are detected by AkrutoSync. If they are, in order to view the synced entries and edit them on your LG G5, you need to install an Android named Tasks & Notes for MS Exchange OR TouchDown. For the settings of each app, refer to: https://www.akruto.com/synchronize-outlook-apps/

ModeratorHi Kirna,
On your computer, if AkrutoSync is open, on the main screen’s left panel, click on ‘Select what to sync’ – then choose NONE for Calendar and Notes in order to stop syncing from and to the Outlook on your computer. For the phone, if you are using an Android – go to Settings > Accounts > tap the Exchange account for AkrutoSync, turn off the sync for Calendar and Notes. Same process for Windows mobile phones (Settings > Email+Account) and for an iPhone (Settings > Email – for iOS 10).

Is this your phone: http://www.gsmarena.com/sony_xperia_x_performance-7949.php? If it is, then it is compatible for AkrutoSync. AkrutoSync will synchronize your contacts, calendar, tasks and notes between Outlook and your devices. It works on Android, Windows phones, and iOS devices (iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch).
Since you plan to use Sync over the Internet, please take note of the following:
We recommend Sync over the Internet if you are using a home or office computer that is connected to its network all the time or almost all the time and it is not being used to other locations. Most users who use this setup often travel and sync via the cellular/mobile data of their phone while the computer is online on the home/office network. You can use Sync over the Internet in other networks and/or locations if you have a laptop and you know the admin access to the router of that network. Usually, that is not possible for public Wi-Fi networks like in an airport or a hotel. For Frequently Asked Questions: https://www.akruto.com/f-a-q/

ModeratorHi Alison,
On your computer, if AkrutoSync is open, on the left panel of the main screen of AkrutoSync, there is a link called ‘Select what to sync’ – just select NONE for Tasks and Notes so it will no longer sync from Outlook in your computer to your Samsung phone and vice-versa.
If you do not have access to your computer since you are on the go, just tap the Exchange account (Settings > Accounts > tap the Exchange account – uncheck Tasks and Notes for the items to be synced).

ModeratorHi Harry,
For AkrutoSync, the initial sync is from Outlook on your computer to your Lumia 650 not the other way around. So all entries for Calendar, Contacts, Tasks and Notes (it depends which type/s you sync) from Outlook will sync to the phone. For calendar and contacts, they can be seen on the native/pre-installed calendar and contacts apps of your Lumia 650 not in the Outlook Windows mobile app.
For notes, you need to install Basic Notes OR Viperal Tasks on your Lumia 650 to view the synced entries. For the settings, please refer to: https://www.akruto.com/synchronize-outlook-apps/
For all notes on the phone (native notes app or in Outlook Windows mobile version) that existed prior to using AkrutoSync will not sync to Outlook in your computer.

ModeratorHi Eric,
Is this your Lenovo phone: http://www.gsmarena.com/lenovo_vibe_shot-7046.php? If it is, then it is compatible for AkrutoSync. AkrutoSync will synchronize your contacts, calendar, tasks and notes between Outlook and your devices. It works on Android, Windows phones, and iOS devices (iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch).
Here is the general guide in using AkrutoSync’s trial version (or even paid and first-time installation):
Pre-installation, Download, Installation, Activation, Configuration, Sync of the Trial Version
Installation/Connecting
What you need to do before you set up your sync is to export all contacts from the phone and import them into Outlook. Once they are in Outlook, then you can delete them from the phone – you only do this process if Outlook is not updated and complete for Calendar and Contacts. When you set up your first sync, they will sync to the phone and now will be locked in the AkrutoSync account which will allow you to edit them on the phone or in Outlook. Here is a link for you to export the data: https://www.akruto.com/backup-phone-contacts-calendar/
After that, delete all calendar entries, contacts, tasks, and notes from your phone.
Configuration
AkrutoSync will synchronize your contacts, calendar, tasks and notes between Outlook and your devices. It works on Android, Windows phones, and iOS devices (iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch). You must install AkrutoSync on your computer and it will guide you through the configuration process. You will not need to install anything on your phone, but you will simply have to add an Exchange account and login with the “de-facto” email address and password provided in the AkrutoSync window on your PC. This is what is needed for your phone to communicate, and ultimately synchronize with Outlook on your PC.
You can choose to Sync over the Internet, or via Wi-Fi. Akruto is cloudless, and syncs directly to your devices. We recommend syncing via Wi-Fi because it is slightly easier compared to setting up sync via the Internet. Syncing over the internet is for the users that leave their computer in the same location all the time and where it is always on. The user can then take their mobile device and sync from wherever they are. This means the mobile device should be on a 3G, 4G or Wi-Fi network.
Syncing over Wi-Fi means the phone has to be in range of your Wi-Fi to run the sync. This setup is a bit simpler and is easier to update as the computer moves around and gets a new IP address.
You can try out the software and see if it works for you before you actually purchase it. You can download the 7-day free trial here: https://www.akruto.com/get-akruto-sync/
The email address AkrutoSync is giving you during configuration, is the username@IP address. The username is the username you provide, and The IP address is the IP of your computer. The program uses the IP as a channel to sync your contacts, calendar events, notes and task with
your phone. if you continue on with the setup, you will enter that email address into your phone to sync.
via Wi-Fi: https://www.akruto.com/user-guide/configure-akruto-sync-home-wi-fi-network/
via Internet: https://www.akruto.com/user-guide/completing-akruto-sync-setup-to-sync-over-internet/NOTE: if you have downloaded the trial version but used the incorrect process for the installation and configuration, please reconfigure AkrutoSync.
TIP:
Sync over home network – NOTE: make sure to use Wi-Fi ONLY on the phone while you are doing this. Cellular/mobile data or data usage must be OFF on the phone.

ModeratorHi David,
AkrutoSync syncs using two methods:
1. Sync over home network, the phone syncs via Wi-Fi. The computer and the phone are connected to the same network/router. The application is installed on the computer (https://www.akruto.com/get-akruto-sync/). The synced data comes from Outlook on the computer for Calendar, Contacts, Tasks and Notes (it depends which type/s you sync) then it goes to the phone via Wi-Fi within the network (data does not go out to the Internet).2. Sync over the Internet. The phone syncs using cellular data/mobile data. It works if the phone gets a 4G / LTE cellular data signal.
For details regarding the two sync methods, please email us at [email protected]

Thank you for your interest in AkrutoSync. AkrutoSync will synchronize your contacts, calendar, tasks and notes between Outlook and your devices. It works on Android, Windows phones, and iOS devices (iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch). It can sync to both devices (iPad Pro and Microsoft Lumia 640) at the same time. AkrutoSync can be synced to one or more mobile devices like phones and tablets.
The initial configuration is done for one mobile device at a time. You can contact us via email at [email protected] for details.

On the main page of AkrutoSync in your computer, on the left panel, you can find the ‘Synchronization History’. You can save the entries as a PST data file that can be stored in another hard drive for back-up.

ModeratorHi Andrew,
Thank you for your interest in AkrutoSync. AkrutoSync will synchronize your contacts, calendar, tasks and notes between Outlook and your devices. It works on Android, Windows phones, and iOS devices (iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch), that includes your iPhone 5. The initial sync is from the Outlook on your computer to your iPhone 5. The two-way sync will only occur if the initial sync is successful. You can add/edit/delete contacts from your iPhone and sync it to Outlook on your computer thru AkrutoSync after the initial sync.
