ModeratorHi GW,
AkrutoSync does not have a one-way sync option. The only way that you cannot sync from phone to Outlook on your computer is to never create/edit/delete an entry for Calendar, Contacts, Tasks and Notes (it depends on which type/s you sync) in your S7 edge so that nothing will sync from the phone.
Alf Delola
ModeratorHi Joan,
This is the process of how AkrutoSync works: It is installed on a computer running on Windows XP/Vista/7/8/8.1/10 with Outlook 2002/2003/2007/2010/2013/2016/Office 365 with Outlook 2013 or 2016. The root source of its data is the PST or OST file of a POP3 or IMAP email account from Outlook. It can sync Calendar, Contacts, Tasks and Notes (it depends which type/s you sync) to Android phones/tablets, Windows mobile phones/tablets, and iOS devices (iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch).
Any entry in your phone for Calendar, Contacts, Tasks and Notes (it depends which type/s you sync) that are not in Outlook on the computer WILL NOT SYNC thru AkrutoSync since the root source is Outlook’s Data file on the computer.
The Thunderbird setup that you have is not compatible with AkrutoSync. Also, you have multiple accounts for Calendar and Contacts – AkrutoSync cannot sync multiple accounts especially if they come from Thunderbird for the data file.

ModeratorHi Bob,
There are two sync methods for AkrutoSync:
1. Sync over home network (can also be an office or other networks) – the computer must have Outlook installed on it which contains Contacts, Calendar, Tasks and Notes (whichever is applicable to be synched). The computer can be a desktop, laptop or hybrid as long as it is a full Windows desktop version not a Windows mobile version. It can be wired directly to the router or connected wireless/via Wi-Fi to the router. The phone must be online via Wi-Fi and its cellular data/mobile data is OFF. AkrutoSync is installed on the computer.NOTE: when an AkrutoSync user travels, AkrutoSync will prompt for the IP Address change and there is a procedure for that in order to gain sync back but there is no need to reconfigure AkrutoSync like a first time setup. I personally use this sync method.
2. Sync over the Internet – same settings for the computer as that for Sync over home network. The phone is online via cellular data/mobile data and its Wi-Fi is OFF. Sync will only occur if the phone is getting a 4G / LTE / 4G LTE connection.
We recommend Sync over the Internet if you are using a home or office computer that is connected to its network all the time or almost all the time and it is not being used to other locations. Most users who use this setup often travel and sync via the cellular/mobile data of their phone while the computer is online on the home/office network.
You can also use Sync over the Internet in other networks and/or locations if you have a laptop and you know the admin access to the router of that network. Usually, that is not possible for public Wi-Fi networks like in an airport or a hotel.
NOTE: especially for laptop users with Windows OS on the computer, if they travel or connect to multiple locations while they bring the laptop and the phone – they CANNOT use Sync over the Internet in networks that they do not have admin access to the router.
The 2 sync methods above applies to Samsung phones and tablet, other Android brands for phones/tablets, Windows mobile phones/tablets, iPhones/iPads/iPods.

Thank you for your interest in AkrutoSync. Unfortunately, AkrutoSync only supports Windows 10, Windows 8.1, Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista and Windows XP. You cannot install AkrutoSync on a MAC operating system. However, if you have a virtual machine of Windows running on the Mac, then it would work.
Please feel free to contact us if you need any assistance.

ModeratorHi Philippe,
AkrutoSync cannot sync multiple folders for Calendar, Contacts, Tasks and Notes (it depends which type/s you sync).
Alf Delola
ModeratorHi Dave,
This is happening because what you are adding is a plain Exchange account and not the specific Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync account. Please check if you have that account type as one of the options for you to add. If it is not part of the option, just use the same plain Exchange account and do these steps below.
– Go to settings>accounts>add account>Exchange
– When it asks for the email, just enter it and don’t click continue
– You should see a button that says manual (usually on the lower left hand of the email box)
***if you can’t see that button, that could be due to your keyboard blocking it. try pressing the back button just once for your keyboard to be hidden***
– Tap that manual button
– It will then give you three options, choose the last one (it should say Exchange)
– It will then give you a page for you to enter password, domain, server etc.
– For the domain, just leave it blank
– For the server, enter the letters or numbers after the @ symbol on the unique email Akruto provided you (example: [email protected].0.2, server then should be 192.168.0.2)
– For the part that says something about SSL, tap it and choose the option that says SSL/TLS(accept all certificates)
– Tap continue, proceed, or whatever button that has the same ideaShould you require further assistance after that, please send us a support email for us to help you better.

AkrutoSync SupportModeratorHi Sharon,
The 2 sync methods used by AkrutoSync:
1. Sync over home network or
2. Sync over the Internet
both need a router to sync.Peer to Peer or Adhoc network like thru USB cable or LAN cord is not a sync method for AkrutoSync.

ModeratorHi Graham,
Could you please reply via email to [email protected]
Before we proceed, we need to verify the following:
1. The latest screenshot of AkrutoSync’s current screen from your computer2. What is the model of your Samsung Android phone? What is the Android version of your Samsung Android phone (Settings > About phone/device > Android version)?
4. Are you using Outlook 2016 under Office 365/2016 on a Windows XP/Vista/7/8/8.1/10 computer? Is it a desktop or a laptop? Wired directly to the router or connected via Wi-Fi?
If you are not familiar with ‘how to take a screenshot and attaching it to the email’, please use this guide:

Or you can Click on the AkrutoSync window then hold down the Alt button and press Prt Sc. This will take a picture of the “active” window on your screen. An image of the window will be copied to the clipboard. You will not receive any confirmation that the screenshot has been taken.2. Paste the screenshot. Once you have made the screenshot, you will need to paste it to an editor. Open Paint from the Accessories section in your Start menu or search Paint in Windows Search. With a new blank canvas open in Paint, press the Ctrl and V buttons together to paste the image onto the canvas. You can also right-click on the canvas and select Paste.

ModeratorHi Rick,
This is the process of how AkrutoSync works: It is installed on a computer running on Windows XP/Vista/7/8/8.1/10 with Outlook 2002/2003/2007/2010/2013/2016/Office 365 with Outlook 2013 or 2016.
