    Hi Bart,

Thank you for your interest in AkrutoSync. The initial sync when you use AkrutoSync is from Outlook on your computer to your phone not the other way around. Regarding tasks in Reminders on your iPhone, AkrutoSync does not have the capacity to sync it initially from the phone.

The manual workaround is to email those tasks to your Outlook. Once you receive the tasks via email, copy one task at a time from the email and create (paste) a new task on the Tasks page of Outlook on your computer. You complete this manual process for all tasks.

Once all of the tasks are in Tasks in Outlook on your computer, you then delete all of these tasks on the phone. After that, it is the only time you can use AkrutoSync in order to sync those tasks back to the phone. Two-way sync will only occur after the initial sync from Outlook to phone is successful.

    Hi Ivan,

    Thank you for choosing AkrutoSync.

Akruto acts like a local exchange server. When we say “Local” it means that your data is only being transferred within your network.

Akruto will contain a server address, a username and a password which your phone will also have for it to connect to Akruto and check for any changes made between your devices. There will be a sync history in Akruto to record all the data being synced between your devices. The sync history is capable of restoring any deleted data and is also stored IN your computer.

You can try out the software and see if it works for you. You can download the 7-day free trial here:

    Hi Wert08.

Since the LG Ray X runs on Android. It has a native app for Outlook contacts and calendars. If you are planning to sync Outlook contacts and calendars then you do not need to install any 3rd party app. simply follow the instructions shown in Akruto to setup your phone.

You can try out the software and see if it works for you. You can download the 7-day free trial here:

    Hi Victor,

    Thank you for choosing AkrutoSync.

AkrutoSync will sync contacts, calendar and tasks. These will be synced with your phone’s native apps.

For notes, the only phone that includes a Notes app that can sync with Exchange ActiveSync AkrutoSync) is the iPhone. Therefore, to sync notes, (and if your phone does not have a built-in task app, to sync tasks) you will need to install an app on your phone.

We have a list of apps for that purpose here:
    https://www.akruto.com/synchronize-outlook-apps/

This app will sync tasks and notes on its own, not as part of the same “sync operation” as contacts and calendar, but everything will sync through AkrutoSync.

    HI Jeremy,

    Thank you for choosing AkrutoSync.

Akruto initially syncs data from Outlook to your phone. No changes will be made in Outlook during the initial sync. Any changes AFTER the initial sync will sync back to Outlook (additional entries, deleted entries, edits)

You can try out the software and see if it works for you. You can download the 7-day free trial here:

    Hi Tony,

For the error message you are getting, when a security certificate is added to your phone (either manually by you, by another user, or automatically by some service or site you are using) and it is not issued by a pre-approved (by Google) issuer, then Android’s default security setting is to display the warning that “Networks May Be Monitored”.

Unfortunately, the issued warning is needlessly scary and it’s unclear.

The issue and the solution is for you to clear out the certificate store on the phone. Unfortunately, the message is from Android and the only way to get rid of it is to not have the SSL certificate imported.

To clear the certificate, navigate to Settings > Security > User or certificate store > Remove the AkrutoCertificate.

    Alternative: Uncheck SSL Checkbox

    Hi L. J.,

As of this time there is no standard procedure in manually transferring tasks from Reminders within our system. The manual options are:
    1. Manually input those tasks in Outlook on the computer before you configure AkrutoSync or
    2. Email these tasks from Reminders of the phone, once you receive the content, copy each task and paste it as a new task in Outlook (by creating a new task).

    HI Donald,

    Thank you for choosing AkrutoSync.

AkrutoSync cannot sync over USB. The two options available are syncing over the local area network (LAN) or via the Internet. If you are concerned with security, please note that all network communication is done over an SSL encrypted link. Also note that if you choose the option to sync over LAN, your data does not even pass through the Internet. You can connect your phone to your LAN by whatever means your phone allows, WiFi being the most common one.

    Hi Pete,

    Thank you for choosing AkrutoSync.

I apologize but Akruto does not have an option to choose the sync direction. It will always sync in both directions so any changes made on one of the device will sync this action to the other device. Alternatively, we highly advise that you make any changes only to one of your devices.

Also, we are often asked about one-way sync by clients who’ve had trouble with other sync software and want to make sure their Outlook data remains intact. AkrutoSync has a better solution for this. Synchronization History records any change made in either direction and lets you view or restore any item that was ever changed or deleted which means that Any inadvertent changes or deletions can be undone at any time.

    Hi Charles,

    Thank you for choosing AkrutoSync.

Yes, The Acer Iconia Talk S. is an Android Phone that fully works with AkrutoSync.

AkrutoSync has 2 options to sync your Outlook to your smartphones:

    1. Sync over Wi-Fi / Home Network is sufficient for most people. When your phone is out of range of your own
Wi-Fi network, it will not sync, but you can still make changes both on your phone and in Outlook. They will sync when your phone is in range of your own Wi-Fi network again. This setup is a bit simpler

2, Sync over Internet is useful when your computer stays at home and you and your phone are somewhere else. Your phone can still connect to your computer over the Internet and sync. This is useful if somebody else is going to make changes on your computer and you want to see on your phone, while you are away from your computer. Syncing over the internet is for the users that leave their computer in the same location all the time and it is always on. The user can then take their mobile device and sync from wherever they are. This means the mobile device can be on a 3G, 4G or Wi-Fi network.

We have a lot of users that has been using it and it works great with them!
Please download the free trial using this link. You have 7 days to try and see if it works for you, absolutely for FREE!

    Hi I. Javet,

All existing contacts on the phone that existed prior to using AkrutoSync will not sync thru AkrutoSync. The root source of data is always Outlook on your computer.

Please transfer the contacts on the phone using this guide: https://www.akruto.com/backup-phone-contacts-calendar/
However, that will transfer all contacts on the phone to the computer and imported to Outlook. In your case that will create multiple folders for Contacts and at the same time duplicate contact entries in Outlook.
If the missing contacts in Outlook are not that many, it will be better to manually input those entries in Outlook on your computer.

Once Outlook is updated and complete for contacts, reconfiguration of AkrutoSync is still needed.

You may email us [email protected] for further details.

    Hi I. Javet,

There is an Android app called 123 Contact Backup (could you please go to: https://www.akruto.com/backup-phone-contacts-calendar/android-contacts/) that you can use to transfer the contacts data from the phone to the computer and then import that data to Outlook. However, that will import all of the contacts entries from the phone (please visit to: https://www.akruto.com/backup-phone-contacts-calendar/import-csv-contacts-to-outlook-2013/ – it works with Outlook 2013 and 2016).

If you prefer to transfer only selected contacts entries from your S5, the only option is to manually input those missing entries in Outlook on your computer.

Once Outlook has the updated and complete list of contacts (combined Outlook and S5 entries), you need to reconfigure AkrutoSync like a first-time setup.

    Hi Arno!
That’s a great question! Three questions, actually.

You can sync the laptop, tablet and your priv to one PC. So long as both main pc and laptop have Outlook 2013 or 2016 installed on them, they should be able to communicate with each other using AkrutoSync.
So, you need to install AkrutoSync only on one PC, which requires one license.

That will depend on which license you’ll purchase. The Basic package is a one time payment package and is locked to one desktop or laptop only. The Subscription package on the other hand has a monthly payment scheme. The best thing in having the Subscription package is that the license would be transferable to a new/different desktop or laptop.

Yes, you can change between sync over Wi-Fi or the Internet any time without the need of having a new license. However, if you do this please make sure that the Outlook program on your computer has the most up to date data just to make sure that you won’t loose any important data.
