AkrutoSyncModeratorHi Ian,
Thank you for choosing AkrutoSync,
When you add a task in Outlook, does the sent count increase under the task category in Akruto? Also, click on Select what to Sync in Akruto and make sure that the correct tasks folder is selected.
The native calendar app usually has a reminder button (upper left), this is where you usually see all the tasks that were synced by Akruto.

AkrutoSync SupportModeratorHello Dwight,
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.
Please download and install the latest version of AkrutoSync here: https://www.akruto.com/files/download/
This installer has 32bit and 64bit version. The version that will be installed depends on the bitness of your Outlook.Simply run the installer and finish the process. You don’t need to uninstall the current version installed on your computer. Reboot your computer and phone after and make sure that both are connected to the same network/router.
If you still encounter the error message after you follow the process above including the restart, this is possibly caused by 2 different Outlook/Office installation on your computer. Please send an email to [email protected] for further troubleshooting if this is the case.

AkrutoSync Support TeamModeratorHi Bo,
Yes you can. You can set up the sync to work with as many devices as you want. To do so, please follow these instructions:
To add another device, you need to know the username and password that you created for AkrutoSync. The user name is displayed in the AkrutoSync window. If you do not remember the password, click Configure AkrutoSync and select the Change password option. Once you know the username and password, click Configure AkrutoSync and select the Configure again option. Ignore the warning about hard-resetting your device (because you are not adding the same device again). Follow on-screen instructions to add your new device. When asked to create a user name and a password, specify the same username and password that you noted above.

Please go back to the previous step and instead of choosing “Simple”, please choose “Advanced” then go through this setup.
We do have a service called Akruto Gold which one of us can set up the sync for you. There is a $49.95 charge for this. If you are interested, we can schedule the remote set up wherein we remotely control your PC and possibly your phone (If supported by the remote application).

ModeratorHello Tom,
Thank you for your message.
Let us check if the phone and the computer can communicate with each other.
1. Go to the Wi-Fi settings of your phone. Tap the Wi-Fi connection where your phone is currently connected to and look for IP Address or IPV4 Address.
2. On your computer, go to Start (Or the Window Circle), then All Programs, then Accessories, then Command Prompt. In the black box type in IPCONFIG look for the IPV4 address or IP Address and default gateway.

AkrutoSyncModeratorHello Michael,
Thank you for choosing AkrutoSync.
It is possible to install AkrutoSync on computer A, and set up computer B to sync with it.
Computer A or the main computer must have a full version of Windows, As long as it is not running Windows RT. Computer A can have any version of Outlook installed with the combination of AkrutoSync.
Computer B must have Outlook 2013/2016. It is OK if computer B has Windows RT (although it can also have a full version of Windows).
For Computer A. When setting up sync in Akruto, select the “Windows Phone” option. When Akruto asks you to open a website, Go to Computer B and use Internet Explorer, do not use any other browser. Windows will ask you whether to choose a certificate store automatically or let you choose the certificate store manually. You need to manually choose the certificate store called “Trusted Root Certificate Authorities”.
Then open Outlook 2013/2016 settings and create the manual account. Choose Exchange AcriveSync (usually written as Outlook.com or Exchange ActiveSync in Outlook 2013/2016. Enter the fake email address displayed in AkrutoSync window and the password, just like you would do with any phone or tablet.
Outlook 2013/2016 will act just like any physical phone or tablet.
If you are having problems with the setup process, please send an email to [email protected] so we can guide you through the process.

AkrutoSyncModeratorHello Jay,
We are sorry that you are experiencing this problem.
We need to check and make sure that there is nothing strange in your Outlook configuration.
1. Do you have multiple copies of Outlook? Perhaps maybe a trial version was installed on your computer that you haven’t been aware of when you first bought it? Please check if you have other installations/versions of Outlook on your computer.
2. Please OPEN Outlook, and then restart AkrutoSync, and then click “Select What to Sync”. Do you see a list of your Outlook folders?
3. Please CLOSE Outlook, and then restart AkrutoSync, and then click “Select What to Sync”. Do you see a list of your Outlook folders?
4. Do you need to enter a password to see your data in Outlook?

AkrutoSyncModeratorHello Kai,
Thank you for choosing AkrutoSync.
Since you are using the same computer and you just upgraded it, you can still use your previous license. After installing AkrutoSync on your PC, you can activate the same license.
When switching computers, please keep in mind the following:
1) You cannot use AkrutoSync to pull the data from your old phone into your new computer. I assume you have some means to transfer your documents and other files to your new computer. Use the same means to transfer your Outlook data, you may use this guide on how to transfer the Outlook data on your phone to your new PC. https://www.akruto.com/backup-phone-contacts-calendar/
2) Do not use existing account on your phone to sync with the new computer. Instead, make sure that your new computer has all your data, delete from your phone the account that you use for AkrutoSync (this will also delete from your phone contacts, calendar and tasks), and set up AkrutoSync on your new computer to sync with your phone (this will copy the data from your new computer to your phone and ensure that two-way sync before your phone and your new computer works)
Please let us know if you have further questions or concerns.

AkrutoSyncModeratorHello Arthur,
We apologize for the inconvenience.
Please check the following:
1. Make sure your phone is not on “Airplane Mode”
2. Please open settings -> Wi-Fi on your phone and make sure it says “connected”. Not just “on”, but “connected” to the same network of your PC. If your PC or laptop is also using Wi-Fi make sure it is connected to the same Wi-Fi network that your phone is connected to. Also make sure that Mobile Data / Cellular Data is Turned OFF. Also, please make sure that both your devices are connected to the same 2.4 ghz or 5ghz router. This is usually indicated in the Wi-Fi name. (Example: Brian Wi-Fi 2.4ghz or Brian Wi-Fi 5ghz)
3. If you have a firewall on your computer, it may be preventing the connection You can try disabling the firewall (as a test only) to see if it is the reason for connection problems. If you are using something other than the Windows Firewall, please make sure Akruto is listed as “allowed”. If this does not work, completely turn off your firewall.
If this did not help, kindly take a screenshot of AkrutoSync window from your computer and send it via email to [email protected] for further troubleshooting.

ModeratorHello Marc,
For clarification, are you trying to sync the data from your phone to your Outlook initially? The initial sync will be from Outlook to Phone. Anything added to the phone AFTER the initial sync will sync back to Outlook. Any data on the phone BEFORE the initial sync will stay on the phone.
With this said, your Outlook must have all the latest data before you configure AkrutoSync. If your phone has all of your Outlook contacts, calendars then you can export them and then import them to Outlook before clearing your phone of this data. One of the steps in the configuration was to clear the phone of data. The reason this step is there is primarily to prevent duplicates but also because AkrutoSync cannot sync your existing data from the phone to Outlook. This is because the existing data on the phone is saved under a different account like Google for example. Data cannot jump from one account to the other. You would have to export those contacts out of the phone and remove them from the phone. Then import the contacts into Outlook and AkrutoSync will sync them with your phone but now they will be saved under the Exchange account that was created for AkrutoSync. This will ensure the two way synchronization
Here is a link that may help with exporting data https://www.akruto.com/backup-phone-contacts-calendar/ Once you have the existing contacts imported in Outlook then you can start configure AkrutoSync so the information from Outlook will then sync back to your phone. After the initial sync, anything added, edited, deleted from your phone will now sync to Outlook and vice versa.
I hope this helps.
