Hello Willaim,
Do you encounter this instance upon booting up your computer? If AkrutoSync is listed on your startup programs, AkrutoSync will automatically run when your computer boots. You can click the X button in the top-right corner of the window to minimize AkrutoSync into your system tray. If you wish to fully stop AkrutoSync, you can right click AkrutoSync icon in the Task Bar and select “Quit AkrutoSync”. If you do this, please take note that you will not be able to sync until you start AkrutoSync again.

AkrtuoSyncModeratorHi Paolo,
Thank you for choosing AkrutoSync,
AkrutoSync is having trouble in accessing your Outlook folders.
We need to check and make sure that there is nothing strange in your Outlook configuration.
1. Do you have multiple copies of Outlook? Perhaps maybe a trial version was installed on your computer that you haven’t been aware of when you first bought it? Please check if you have other installations/versions of Outlook on your computer.2. Please OPEN Outlook, and then restart AkrutoSync, do you still see the error message?
3. Please CLOSE Outlook, and then restart AkrutoSync, do you still see the error message?
We will wait for your response.

AkrutoSyncModeratorHi Vince,
Please download and install the latest version of AkrutoSync here: https://www.akruto.com/files/download/
This installer have both 32 bit and 64 bit version of AkrutoSync. The version that will be installed will be based from the bitness of your Outlook.
Simply run the installer and finish the process. You don’t need to uninstall the current version installed on your computer. Reboot your computer and phone after and make sure that both are connected to the same network/router.
I hope this helps.

AkrutoSyncModeratorHi Bob,
Please try to reboot your phone and reconfigure AkrutoSync for your Samsung Galaxy S9.
To add another device, you need to know the username and password that you created for AkrutoSync. The user name is displayed in the AkrutoSync window. If you do not remember the password, click Configure AkrutoSync and select the Change password option. Once you know the username and password, click Configure AkrutoSync and select the Configure again option. Ignore the warning about hard-resetting your device (because you are not adding the same device again). Follow on-screen instructions to add your new device. AkrutoSyncModeratorHi Uwe,
Unfortunately, the second computer (Computer B) must have Outlook version 2013/2016. The instruction won’t work on lower version of Microsoft Outlook for the second computer.
Computer A or the main computer must have a full version of Windows, As long as it is not running Windows RT. Computer A can have any version of Outlook installed with the combination of AkrutoSync.

AkrutoSyncModeratorHi Carl,
Thank you for choosing AkrutoSync,
The recent version of Akruto enables our customers to be able to sync on un-restricted Wi-Fi networks. This means that Akruto will be able to sync in any network as long as both computers and phone are on that same network. The setup should be via Sync over home network and “Simple” method.
However, there are limitations in this feature since Wi-Fi networks especially public Wi-Fi have restrictions.

Technical Support Representative.ModeratorHi Ivette,
Thank you for using AkrutoSync. The phone can have many accounts such as Google or others. When you add something from the phone, you need to make sure you are saving it to the AkrutoSync account. Only items saved under the AkrutoSync account can sync back into Outlook.
As for your Tasks, please click “Select what to Sync” in AkrutoSync window and make sure that you have selected the correct folder for Task and click save. Force a sync on your phone and check if the status for Task will change from “None” to “In progress” then “Success”.
You can also try to download a 3rd party Task and Notes app to display the task synced from your Outlook to your phone.
Please check this link : https://www.akruto.com/synchronize-outlook-apps/

AkrutoSyncModeratorHi Colin,
We apologize for the inconvenience.
One of the steps in the configuration was to clear the phone of data. The reason this step is there is primarily to prevent duplicates but also because AkrutoSync cannot sync your existing data from the phone to Outlook. This is because the existing data on the phone is saved under a different account like Google for example. Data cannot jump from one account to the other. You would have to export those contacts out of the phone and remove them from the phone. Then import the contacts into Outlook and AkrutoSync will sync them with your phone but now they will be saved under the Exchange account that was created for AkrutoSync. This will ensure the two way synchronization.
Here is a link that may help with exporting data. Keep in mind that because the contacts from Outlook have already synced over the phone, you may experience duplicates. The easiest way to avoid this is to remove the Exchange account from the phone as this will remove all contacts, calendar, tasks and notes that synced with AkrutoSync from the phone. Once you have the existing contacts imported in Outlook then you will have to configure AkrutoSync again.
https://www.akruto.com/backup-phone-contacts-calendar/
If you wish not to clear the data on your phone, you can just simply hide the data saved under a different account in the calendar app on your phone. This way, you will get rid of the duplicates and your phone calendar will display the data saved under the Exchange account only.

AkrutoSyncModeratorHi KFStein,
Thank you for choosing AkrutoSync,
Please reboot your computer, and then use Task Manager to see what user AkrutoSync is running as (after a reboot). Here is how to use the task manager. Press Ctrl-Shift-Esc to open the Task Manager. Click the “More Details” button. Then click on the Processes tab. Find AkrutoSync in the list and check what user it is running as. If it is not the same user that uses Outlook that would be the reason why AkrutoSync is not finding your Outlook profile.

Akruto Technical SupportModeratorHi Adrian
You can export the data saved from the AkrutoSync Exchange account on your phone by using the following apps below:
For calendar, you can use iCal Import/Export CalDAV
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=tk.drlue.icalimportexport&hl=en
OR
ICS Importer
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=jitdesign.icsimport&hl=enThen follow this to import that data to your outlook : https://www.akruto.com/backup-phone-contacts-calendar/import-ical-ics-calendar-into-outlook-2013
For your contacts : You can use 123 Contact Backup
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=akruto.backup&hl=enThen follow this to import the contacts to your Outlook : https://www.akruto.com/backup-phone-contacts-calendar/import-csv-contacts-to-outlook-2013
Unfortunately for Task and Notes, we don’t have any tested applications yet.
Once your Outlook have all the latest data that you want to sync into your phone, you can now proceed with the reconfiguration.
To do this, remove the previous Exchange account on your phone. (Make sure that your Outlook have all the latest data first. When you remove the account from the phone, it will remove all contacts, calendar, tasks and notes that were once synced). Then on your computer, open AkrutoSync and click configure AkrutoSync and follow the on-screen instructions to finish the setup. Be sure to select the folders that contain the data which you want to sync. Also, let the first sync finish all the way before you create any test appointments.
Let us know how this second set up goes. This should restore your sync.

AkrutoSyncModeratorHello Timothy,
Are you using “Microsoft Exchange Active Sync” or “Exchange” for the Exchange account on your phone?
If you are using “Exchange” (It has similar icon with Gmail), you need to enable the app permission for Contacts and Calendar under Gmail.
Once the app permission for Contacts and Calendar under Gmail has been enabled, force a sync on your phone and check if the status will change from “None” to “In progress” then “Success”.
How to force a sync: https://www.akruto.com/f-a-q/#q_force_sync
If this didn’t work, please send an email to [email protected] and provide us a screenshot of AkrutoSync main window for further troubleshooting.

Note on licensing. If you paid the one-time fee of $34.95 or $39.95 USD for that license, that is only good for the first computer that you originally installed AkrutoSync. A transferable license is the one for the PREMIUM (the $2.99 USD/month that can be paid per quarter or per year). Please refer to: https://www.akruto.com/get-akruto-sync/

AkrutoSyncModeratorThank you for being a long-time AkrutoSync user and thank you for reaching out. This problem is caused by the latest Windows 10 update. We are releasing an update to AkrutoSync today, so that it works again. Please hold on for a few more hours.
ModeratorHi Sandee
You can find it by clicking “Open Data Directory” in AkrutoSync window on your computer. After clicking “Open Data Directory” on the left panel, a folder will appear where you will find the log file named as “Akruto” or “akruto.log”. Make sure that you exit AkrutoSync before you delete the log file. You can do that by right clicking AkrutoSync icon on the system tray (near clock) and select “Quit AkrutoSync”.
